In 1963, Odette "Odie" Sinclair is forcibly transferred to Miss Godard's Preparatory School for Girls after her parents find out that she planned to have sex with her boyfriend Dennis. When budgetary problems at the East Coast boarding school prompt a merger with a boy's academy, the girls are stunned at the prospect of going co-ed and devise a campaign to sabotage the plan.
