Joanna worries about her age. Who wouldn't, at her age? Her dangerous liaison with Alan Statham is becoming tedious, she demands spontaneity. He agrees to think about it.

It's Joanna's birthday. What does a man get the woman he worships for her birthday? Would it be a locket filled with his own love juice?
S01:E05 - Housewarming Party
Martin is desperate (not just generally, although that's obviously still the case). He's worried that he hasn't got anything to wear to Caroline's housewarming party.

It's a testing time. Joanna and Harriet are each convinced they're pregnant, Martin sits his exams for the hundredth time and Mac surreptitiously interviews for a promotion.

Martin loves Caroline. Caroline loves Mac. Mac has a girlfriend. Statham loves Jesus, or is it the chaplain? Joanna loves Lyndon. And Guy pretends to love Caroline.

Joanna is desperate to lure Statham away from Jesus. Caroline is desperate to lure Mac from his girlfriend and Sheffield. In one final bet, Mac challenges Guy that he can't bed Joanna.
