The old man claims when his ship is repaired it will sail him to the ‘Hidden Valley’. Shamani, however, alarmed by the absence of spirits, sends Enyo on a mission to find out why they have left. He discovers that the valley is indeed the tongue of a big creature who's slowly drawing everything in, threatening to swallow the Doodjies, who have fallen prey to the creatures sleep-inducing fruit. Now an increasingly tired Enyo calls on the power to see the truth to find a way to stop the creature before it is too late. While The Floating gets stronger, Enyo calls on his powers and discovers that Argols slipped into Shamani and are feeding of his life force. However, on her quest, Agaya gets sucked into a whirlwind that is attracted by the the stone's energy. To save her, Enyo draws on his power to harness nature, and is eventually able to open a portal from within the whirlwind, but the effort leaves him very weak. S01:E17 - The Varen
Things get dangerous for the Doodjie tribe when they are attacked by Varen (large birds usually known for healing abilities), forcing them to take cover in a Haraabi shelter. Enyo's attempt to communicate with the animals to find the reason behind the hostility of the great healers gets interrupted when Quag Naga and his men try to hide from the Varen in the shelter as well. Complicating things further, Quag Naga manages to abduct Enyo, but the boy is able to flee, and, by using his power to harness nature, help the Doodjies escape the Varens. Enyo and Agaya eventually discover the cause of the Varen's wrath - one of them died in an attempt to heal the Haarabi leader's daughter - and Enyo is able to free the Great Varen of their pain. Enyo's actions show Shamani that the boy is growing

But when Quag Naga arrives and not only abducts Enyo but also the Ghals' shaman boy Hecto and the sacred Stone of the Green Spirit, the two groups have to take a chance and work together to beat Quag Naga. With Hecto's ability to get into the mind of others as well as Enyo's power to harness nature, they manage to recover the Stone. Following Shamani's advice, the Ghals will take care of the Green Spirit's realm from now on instead of offering to it the lives of travelers.

Enyo carefully climbs the tower and comes upon it's spirit who tricks Enyo into using all of his powers, so it can take them away. Only then does he reveal the challenge. In order to save the tribe, Enyo has to physically hold a passage open for them to go through. When he has to choose between the safe passage of the Doodji tribe or his own safety, Enyo decides to save the Doodjies – by using the only power he has left, the power to trust in himself, he passes the challenge and is rewarded with the totem of the Tower Spirit.
S01:E21 - Bad Omens

Only the healing power of Crowler's horn can save him now. But how to get the horn without killing the animal? Enyo, following his vision of a Crowler, takes off with Agaya to seek it out. But Odina's and Quag Naga's plans to hunt the creature make it difficult for Enyo to communicate with the shy animal. When they finally manage to catch up to the Crowler, it leads them to a strange, eerie place, the place of Enyo's vision – a graveyard where they can collect the horn that will save Ito.
S01:E22 - The Oxygen Plants
Passing through an Oxygen Forest, the Doodjies come upon the hostile Chwan who hunt and hoard more Ozums (little animals that help to keep nature in balance) than they can eat. While Hunga and Enyo try to make contact with the tribe, the suddenly wilting Oxygen trees crash and trap the waiting Doodjies. It becomes hard for them to breath, and Shamani realizes that the forest is out of balance. Enyo learns from the spirit that it's the Ozums who release the oxygen from the plants and without their help, the air goes bad. Enyo needs to free the animals to save the forest and his tribe. He succeeds in his task, and the spirits can enter the Chwan's minds to make them realize their mistake

Enyo, Ito and Agaya need to find a way to save them before it is too late. Noticing that all plants are connected, they hurry to destroy the main plant. When Enyo finally manages to understand the drowned out voice of the spirit he learns, that the harmony in the valley was destroyed when Doodja got drier and the pod plant blocked the growth of the others. They'll have to cut off the pod plant's water supply to restore balance to the valley and save the Doodjies. But the plant seems too strong until Enyo calls on his power to harness nature.
S01:E24 - The Werlog Trap
When Enyo, Ito and Agaya fall into a Volcano crater they get rescued by two wild boys, Poros and Montoo, who tell them the legend of the Werlog and a special boy who can call him. When they realize that Enyo is that boy, Poros and Montoo capture him and put him in great danger to attract the Werlog. Enyo tries to convince them that the Werlog will not come to his rescue, but when Poros throws the amulet into the acid lake in a last attempt, the Werlog snatches it – the guardian has arrived and rescues the children when the volcano breaks out. Shamani realizes that the Werlog still watches over Enyo, and he is still showing them the way to the Hidden Valley.
S01:E25 - The River of the Past
As the Doodjies' journey is coming to an end, a boat arrives at an eerie lake to take Enyo and a weakening Shamani on a voyage to the past. While, in his last act, Shamani distracts Quag Naga who has been following them, Enyo discovers their opponent's true identity and tries to warn the Aglulo tribe. But his father (Katchyo) hinders him from changing the past, time would spin out of control. However, Katchyo gives his son the last clue he needs to lead the tribe to the Hidden Valley - the power to travel as a spirit. With his amulet now complete, Enyo returns to the Doodjies, but without Shamani who is finally resting. His work is done, Enyo is ready – he is the new Shaman.
S01:E26 - The Hidden Valley
Disheartened and exhausted from their long journey, the Doodjies turn their backs on Enyo. After consulting with Shamani's spirit, Enyo walks off by himself to find the entrance to the Hidden Valley, and, after a difficult ascent, comes upon a chamber bounded on all sides by a wall of spirits. Using the spirit runes he collected on their journey, Enyo uncovers the Hidden Valley behind the wall. But Quag Naga who has followed him, prevents him from unlocking it. When he tries to open the wall himself with Enyo's amulet, Quag Naga is destroyed. As Shamani's spirit foretold, Enyo is the only one who can unlock the Hidden Valley. But he has to answer one last question before the tribe is finally allowed to enter and Enyo is reunited with the Werlog: Will he save Doodja?
