S01:E39 - Firefighter Workout
Jamie sounds the alarm and calls our ladies to the Coral Springs Florida Regional Institute of Public Safety for a workout to challenge their bodies AND their minds. Firefighters must be physically ready for just about anything. They must be coordinated, strong and have a good cardiovascular capacity to be truly useful on an emergency scene. The Firefighters physical agility test (PAT) is used to determine if a recruit is a good candidate for the Fire Academy and the standards are set high. Endurance is key since they must be prepared for many scenarios. Ideally, a candidate should be able to maintain a reasonable and acceptable pace as they move through the course and complete all the tasks. Its also common practice to try to simulate the additional weight a firefighter must carry while on the emergency scene. Weight vests or personal protective clothing are worn to increase the burden on the candidate.
S01:E40 - Mission Milestone Training with Billy Beck III
The ladies have been gearing up their Mission Milestone -- both physically and mentally -- for months now. By now fear is no longer a part of their vocabulary. Before they leave town for Las Vegas, they hooked up with Trainer Billy Beck the third for one last challenge... at the BB3 personal training and performance center, at the Weston Bonaventure Resort and Spa. Billy will be challenging the girls on what he likes to call THE GAUNTLET a combination of intense stair climbing and other endurance building exercises ending with a powerful push towards the finish line. Their legs will be roaring like lions as Billy Beck III makes sure they are up for the challenge in Vegas which is sure to be a cliff-hanger.
S01:E41 - Mission Milestone- Adventure in the Desert
The day has finally come, the Mission Milestone. This will be the girls biggest challenge to date.The Mission Makeover team has been training hard and bonding with each other over the past few months. Their bonds are going to be put to the test with a team building challenge up on the ropes course under the guidance of the Awesome Adventures Team. Billy and Jamie take the lead up on the wires with some inspirational teamwork as well as some laughs. The ladies are harnessed in and holding on to each other. This journey has been all about the teams support of each other. An important element of teamwork is overcoming obstacles and now they are putting their strength to good use. The challenge ends at the top and there is only one way down! The team will zip off across Bootleg Canyon and on to their next challenge. Before you criticize a man (or woman) walk a mile in his shoes That quote certainly applies to our ladies Especially today in this episode theyre about to get some life after the makeover advice from last seasons contestant Victoria Brooks! Aka Vicky B! Until now the ladies havent thought about life after Mission and they are leaning on Vicky B with some questions of their own.. most importantly how has she kept her momentum after the show? Well Vicky B has been training and running. In fact, she shares some prep tips for her runs, like having the right gear. Socks are very important for running almost as important as your shoes Vicky introduces the ladies to the Hidden Comfort Line from Balega International. Last week the ladies accomplished their mission milestone, and what a mission it was, but the journey is far from over. Maintaining momentum can sometimes be hard especially when youve hit a plateau. Our goal is help the ladies develop lifelong healthy habits after the cameras stop rolling.
