Chihuahua siblings have dental and mental problems, newborn calves fight for survival and spaying a young Saint Bernard provides unforeseen challenges.

The owner of a hearing service dog receives troubling news, a cow needs a caesarian, a rat has a puzzling skin ailment and an orphan lamb becomes a ward of the hospital.

A foal is ravaged by infection, a lynx is subdued with a blow dart and an orphaned lamb visits a pre-school.

The vets save a German Shepard from a deadly lung disease, restore a baby alpacas sight, fix a champion horses foot, and replace the casts on an orphan lamb.

The vets perform emergency abdominal surgery to save a colicky horse, pull porcupine quills from a dogs nose and give an orphan lamb new leg casts.

Vet teams struggle to save an injured farm dog and a diseased eagle, while others help birth piglets, tend to an impaled horse and learn how to handle elk.

Vet teams discover a brain tumour in an old dog, a blockage in a miniature horses throat, a screw in an iguanas stomach and a sewing needle in a dog in a very unusual place.
