Ghost Stories

Slumlord Vera Markov is sentenced to live in one of her own decrepit buildings until all the necessary repairs have been made. She's made to wear a house arrest bracelet that will sound an alarm if she leaves the premises. Her attorney, Lindley, is certain he'll get her out of there soon. Vera's attitude is that it's better than jail; resigned, she moves into the second floor apartment with a few designer belongings.
