After searching the bookstore, Sung-yeol runs into a woman that resembles his first love, Myung-hee. Yang-sun decides to help Sung-yeol despite the disapproval from her father. It is revealed that Prince Yoon was behind the threats, fliers and books regarding Forbidden Quest.

A legend that a vampire resides alongside the royals in the palace are proven true. Sung-yeol is chosen to fight against the evil controlling the throne.

S01:E02 - Season 1, Episode 2

Sung-yeol, after 120 years, is still in search for Prince Jung-hyun's private journal, and asks for the help of Yang-soon. Yoon sees a resemblance in Yang-soon of a childhood friend, and goes out of his way to meet her.

S01:E03 - Season 1, Episode 3

Gwi uses Yang-sun as bait to lure Sung-yeol to him. Yang-sun finds a clue to the original Forbidden Quest at a bookstore. Yoon catches the spy who was following him and gets a confession in front of the King and his council.

Prince Yoon tells Lord Hong the story behind his father's death. Yangsoon decides to not work for Sung-yeol anymore for the sake of her father. Gwi sends out guards to capture all book merchants.

Yang-sun and her family prepare to leave to Tamna. Gwi and Sung-yeol finally meet after 120 years of hiding.

Yang-sun tries to help Sung-yeol tend to his wounds from his fight with Gwi. Prince Yoon decides to reveal his identity as Forbidden Quest to prevent more people from suffering.

Hye-ryeong helps Gwi lure Sung-yeol to become queen. Sung-yeol tells Prince Yoon about his intentions of ending Gwi. Yang-sun and her father get arrested and tortured for being associated with Forbidden Quest.

Sung-yeol puts Yang-sun's life at risk to push her father into revealing where Prince Jung-hyun's journal is hidden.

Yang-sun's father sacrifices himself for his daughter's release. Sung-yeol finds Prince Jung-hyun's private journal and tries to find the answer in destroying Gwi.

Sung-yeol, Ho-jin, and Hunter Baek try to hide Yang-sun from the prince. Gwi orders the queen to steal Sung-yeol's black garb.

The king and queen hide Kim Sung-yeol's black garb from Gwi. Seo Jin finds out that she is one of the secret keys to destroying Gwi.

Yang-sun and Ho-jin follow the King to the palace. The Chief Counselor is caught lying to Gwi.
