Stingray is delopyed to Africa to investigate a series of flooded underwater ruins that appear to have disappeared. The crew finds evidence of human intervention and avoid a trap when a bomb explodes under Stingray. Stingray must investigate if the same poeple who set the bomb stole the temple complex.

A submarine of the World Security Patrol is destroyed. WASP is called in to investigate and its Stingray submarine, capable of speeds of up to 600 knots an hour, is sent to investigate.
