Fiona Cairns the creator of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s royal wedding cake bakes up some stylish and romantic treats. She shows us how to bake, decorate and build a Vintage Glamour three- tier cake that will feed 150 guests. There are similarities with the famous eight -tier cake she designed for William and Kate’s wedding. For those who prefer a less traditional cake, Fiona shows us how to make an eye -catching confection in the shape of a hat. Also on the menu earl grey fairy cakes decorated with crystallized flowers and heart shaped biscuits, which make a beautiful table decoration.

S01:E01 - Tea Parties
Fiona makes four delicious treats for the perfect tea party from quick and easy recipes to cakes with the wow factor. On the menu are heart shaped vanilla shortbreads, fairy cakes with lavender sugar, a Rose petal heart with White Chocolate, cardamom and rosewater and a delicious lemon Madeira cake in the shape of a teapot.
S01:E02 - Summer Berries
Fiona makes four delicious treats inspired by summer berries. On the menu are easy to make blueberry yoghurt fairy cakes with a cream cheese topping, a mouth watering and fabulous looking berry rose scented meringue, a flourless chocolate cake with raspberry coulis, ideal for dinner parties and an impressive looking strawberry and elderflower cake perfect for special occasions.
S01:E03 - Garden Vegetables
Fiona makes four delicious treats inspired by garden vegetables. On the menu are hidden fruit and vegetable muffins – a clever way of giving your kids their 5- a day. Also a deliciously moist honey cake shaped like a honeycomb, a chocolate and beetroot cake and Fiona’s magnificent vegetable plot cake, which is made from carrot and pecan nuts and topped with miniature sugar paste vegetables.
S01:E04 - Birthdays
Fiona shares her recipes for birthday treats that will please all ages. On the menu are easy gingerbread biscuits that Fiona remembers from childhood parties and sponge cakes masquerading as ice cream cones with peanut butter and salted caramel topping. Fiona also uses Britain’s favourite dessert, sticky toffee pudding, as inspiration for a delicious birthday cake and she shows us how to bake and decorate her most popular chocolate cake.
S01:E05 - Halloween
On Fiona’s menu are peanut and caramel cookies, perfect for little trick or treaters, toffee apple pops filled with buttercream orange flavoured cupcakes with sugarpaste monsters and a spectacular erupting volcano marble cake. In her weekly masterclass Fiona teaches two novice bakers how to make bats and ghosts out of chocolate shortbread.
S01:E06 - Bollywood
Fiona takes inspiration from the exotic in this Bollywood themed show. On the menu are chilli chocolate cupcakes, a delicious tropical fruit chewy meringue and a gorgeous chocolate and coconut cake decorated with vanilla rose butter cream. Fiona also gives a traditional British ginger cake an exciting twist by taking inspiration from India’s favourite drink: “Masala Chai” tea.
S01:E07 - Retro Sweets
Fiona Cairns finds inspiration from her favourite childhood sweets. On the menu today are easy, no-bake chocolate caramel crunchy “Robots” which look impressive but are a great starter recipe for children. For adults Fiona has a recipe for rose and violet creams covered in chocolate and made with violet liqueur. Fiona also shows us how to transform a traditional Victoria sponge into a lovely looking heart shape cake with marshmallow frosting and bakes an exotic Turkish delight meringue filled with raspberry jelly and rosewater cream.

Fiona Cairns creates a chocolate feast in this episode devoted to everything chocolate. On the menu, a no bake white chocolate cheese cake with a tangy blackberry coulis, gilded chocolate tiffin made with dried cranberries and pistachio nuts gift wrapped in edible gold leaf and glazed chocolate orange cubes which are made from ground almonds rather than flour, perfect for a celebration. Fiona also shows us her simple but delicious take on a classic cake: Black Forest Gateau.
S01:E10 - Christmas
Fiona gets ready for Christmas with some indulgent festive treats. On the menu gooey Chocolate Fridge Cakes decorated with snowmen made of cocoa and biscuit and a fluffy almost fat free Angel Cake covered in white chocolate curls. She also shows us how to make Mojito Cheesecakes flavoured with rum, lime and mint, perfect for a Christmas party. Last but not least Fiona shares her recipe for her Parcel Cake: a traditional Christmas fruitcake that is designed to look like a present.
