After sleeping with mobster Joey Gamarra's daughter, New Jersey restaurateur Louis Thomas must flee to California with his mother, Rita, and brother, Alex. Once there, the brothers get jobs at chic restaurant Zavatti where, unknown to the boys, a close relative of theirs, Peter Evans, is the manager. Meanwhile Andrea Zavatti breaks off her relationship with her boyfriend, George, and gets some comfort from the Thomas brothers.

Alex and Louis get new jobs at a Beverly Hills restaurant, where they are both attracted to the owner's daughter, Andrea Zavatti.

The brothers compete for Andrea's affection, unaware that Joey Gamarra's mob enforcers are in the process of tracking them down.

Alex lands a dinner date with Andrea, which is quickly sabatoged. The Thomas siblings find refuge with Rita's old flame, Peter Evans.

Andrea has an erotic dream about Alex and decides to make a move on him -- but her friend beats her to the punch. Rita and Peter begin to spend more time together; George meets Cully and Vincent in an unlikely encounter.

Gamarra's men close in on Louis and Alex as Louis and Andrea's relationship – predicated on a lie – picks up steam.

Tensions rise between the Thomas brothers while another problematic affairs brews at the restaurant. A dirty detective arrives on scene ready to meddle.

Andrea struggles with the fact that her father, Harold, disapproves of Louis. At home, a break-in rattles Peter, Rita, and the Thomas brothers, while at the restaurant a suspicious murder takes place.

Andrea sees Harold and George make a deal with Detective Hawkins. Daniel reveals what he knows about Christoph to Claudia while Louis shares the real reason that his family moved to LA with Andrea.

Erica becomes involved in George's dealings with Gamarra's men. Andrea defends her love of Louis to her father.

Louis makes plans to leave and says goodbye to his family. Meanwhile, Daniel manages to trick Christoph into revealing a secret about his past.

As Harold's life looms in the balance, a nearby kidnapping takes place. Meanwhile, George hatches an evil plot with Victoria to steal a fortune.

Louis' loved ones attempt to cope with the news of his disappearance. Suspicions arise about Hawkins being a dirty cop.

Still searching for Louis, Alex and Peter follow a lead to New Jersey. Kate does her best but falls short when attempting to intervene with George and Victoria's scheme.

George and Victoria continue to take matters into their own hands. Peter and Alex pay Gamarra a visit to confront him about Louis' whereabouts.

Andrea becomes overwhelmed with all of the loss in her life. Meanwhile, Cara has good news that she shares with her friends.

Louis holds on for dear life in captivity.

Lin and Hawkins try to connect the dots in the recent rash of criminal activity. Gamarra makes a proposal to Louis and Louis makes one to Cully.

Andrea receives an enticing offer. Louis' nothing-to-lose attitude gets him what he wants.
