Fantasy Island

Tom Vail, a Wall Street economist, wants to experience the world of old time burlesque by becoming a comic headliner. Roarke gives him a special comedian hat to bolster his confidence, and takes him to the Revival House where he meets Marty Howard, his weekend employer. Marty tells Tom he is late and drags him onto the stage. Tom gets stage fright, but quickly remembers his hat and goes through his routine. Marty introduces Tom to Doralee Dixon, an aging stripper, who does the fan act. Later Tom meets Abby Boudreau, a beautiful chorus girl who loved his act. Marty becomes upset with Tom when he notices Abby's obvious attraction for him. Marty asks Abby out, but she has other plans. When Marty leaves, Abby asks Tom if he will take her out, and he gladly accepts. Marty finds out about their date and sets Tom up. Doralee shows up at Tom's bungalow just before Abby's arrival and throws her-self upon him. Moments later Abby sees them through the open door and angrily walks away. Doralee, who saw her, jumps up, dresses and leaves before Tom knows what has happened. The next day Tom finds Abby in the coffee shop and asks why she didn't keep their date, and she responds loudly, telling him off. Marty overhears this, knowing Tom detests stripping, he takes advantage of Abby's anger and offers her Doralee's spot in the show. Later Tom demands that Marty not allow Abby to do the strip, and Marty punches Tom and locks him in the prop room. Tom hears the applause and thinks the worst. He is ready to give up when Roarke and Tattoo unlock the door and he runs towards the stage where Abby is standing in her robe. Tom thinks Abby is naked, and he rushes on stage swinging and punching at Marty. The audience thinks this is part of the act and they wildly applaud. Later, when Tom learns Abby did not strip, he confesses his love and asks for her hand in marriage. Mrs. Vanessa Walgren is an amateur sportswoman whose fantasy is to win the Annual Fantasy Island Pentathlon. Roarke tells Tat
