Report a problem
Crime,Drama
In the late 1990’s, New England is hit by a crime wave, netting millions for a gang of sophisticated thieves. A rash of armored car and bank robberies turn deadly as the gang gets sloppy, and guards must pay the price with their lives. Investigators attempt to blend in to a crime-ridden Boston community for information and names of anyone associated with the crime wave, but nobody in the tight nit area will cooperate with authorities. Catching a break, federal agents witness members of the gang as they attempt to rob another bank, and arrest them before more violence can occur. With the leader of the gang behind bars, community members feel safer cooperating with authorities to bring the remaining members of the “Boston Bandits” to justice.

Call Me Kuchu
2013 Documentary
In an unmarked office at the end of a dirt track, veteran activist David Kato labors to repeal Uganda’s homophobic laws and liberate his fellow lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender men and women, or “kuchus.” But David’s formidable task just became more difficult. A new “Anti-Homosexuality Bill” proposes death for HIV-positive gay men, and prison for anyone who fails to turn in a known homosexual. Inspired by American evangelicals who have christened Uganda ground zero in their war on the “homosexual agenda,” the bill awaits debate in Uganda’s Parliament. Meanwhile, local newspapers have begun outing kuchus with vicious fervor. David, Uganda’s first openly gay man, is one of few who dare to publicly protest state-sanctioned homophobia. Working with an idiosyncratic clan of fellow activists, including retired Anglican Bishop Christopher Senyonjo, David fights Uganda’s government and tabloids in the courts, on television, and at the United Nations. Because, he insists, “if we keep on hiding, they will say we’re not here.” But no one is prepared for the brutal murder that shakes the movement to its core and sends shock waves around the world. Call Me Kuchu depicts the last year in the life of a courageous, quick-witted and steadfast man whose wisdom and achievements were not fully recognized until after his death, and whose memory has inspired a new generation of human rights advocates.

To look into the eyes of the Wolf is to see your own soul once proclaimed American Author and Scientist Aldo Leopold; In this beautiful and important documentary, filmmaker Julia Huffman travels to Minnesota and into wolf country to pursue the deep intrinsic value of perhaps the most unjustly maligned animal on the face of the planet. Medicine of the Wolf focusses on these extraordinary sentient creatures and the remarkable, world-renowned National Geographic photographer Jim Brandenburg, who has photographed and studied wolves for 45 years—longer than anyone in history. As our guide, Brandenburg enables us to see the world of the wolf as we have never seen it before. Documented with stunning cinematography of the Northern Minnesota landscape "wolf country”, Medicine of the Wolf tugs at the emotions while presenting the complexities and highly charged politics now surrounding an animal being pushed towards extinction.
