Season 3
S03:E01 - Nobody's Perfect
Soon after Dr. Koblin reports that Tabitha is a perfectly normal baby, Samantha sees a toy pony floating in the air to Tabitha when she wiggles her fingers, and realizes that the baby has inherited her witchcraft. Endora is delighted, but Samantha worries how to break the news to Darrin. Larry Tate brings Mark Robbins, a client, to the Stephens home to dis-cuss a new image for his product - truck transmissions. When Robbins sees Tabitha, he decides she is just the image he wants for his product. Darrin agrees to have Tabitha pose for Diego Fenman, a leading baby photographer. After staying awake all -night rehearsing a speech to break the news about Tabitha's witchcraft to Darrin, Samantha falls asleep. Darrin takes Tabitha to Diego's studio. Diego insists on being alone with Tabitha while he photographs her. As toys float through the air whenever the baby twitches her nose, Diego thinks he is going mad. Tate and Robbins are impressed with the pictures in which objects are suspended without the use of wires. Darrin voices the hope that Tabitha will grow up just like her mother. Samantha, who still hasn't found the courage to inform Darrin about Tabitha, tells him be is sure to get his wish.
S03:E02 - The Moment of Truth
Samantha still hasn't found the courage to tell Darrin Tabitha is a witch. When the baby, using her witchcraft, turns the living room into a mess, Aunt Clara is sure her own failing powers are responsible. Larry and Louise Tate arrive to help celebrate the Stephens' anniversary. As Tabitha practices her witchcraft in her crib, things start moving in the living room downstairs. Following a toy pony which floats upstairs into the baby's crib, Darrin finally realizes his daughter is a witch, but tries to hide his shock from Samantha. Darrin and Samantha have their hands full trying to keep the Tates from discovering the truth about Tabitha. To get Larry to leave, Samantha uses her own magic to convince him that he has had too much to drink. Then she reassures Aunt Clara that she was not responsible for the untidy living room. Aunt Clara is overjoyed to have another witch in the family, the first of the new generation. Darrin, reconciled to the truth, tells Samantha its been so wonderful living with one witch, it should be twice as wonderful living with two.
S03:E03 - Witches & Warlocks Are My Favorite Things
Endora tells Samantha that her aunts are coming to the Stephens' home to test Tabitha's powers of witchcraft. First Aunt Clara comes down the chimney. Then Aunt Hagatha and Aunt Enchantra appear. When Samantha wishes her father were present, Maurice sweeps in. Endora and Maurice quarrel and Maurice leaves for a performance of "Faust," in Vienna. During the test, Tabitha thrills her great-aunts with the display of her powers. Hearing strange voices when he phones, Darrin tells Samantha he is coming home. At that, the phone cord loop itself around Darrin and Larry Tate. When they succeed in freeing themselves and get into the car, it immediately develops four flats. Darrin finally arrives just as Endora declares that it has been decided to educate Tabitha in Hagatha's school for witches. Outraged when Darrin firmly takes a stand that Tabitha's education should be decided only by her parents, Endora, Hagatha and Enchantra pronounce a magic spell. Samantha, Darrin and Aunt Clara, who has sided with them, find themselves rooted to the floor. When Endora prepares to leave with Tabitha, Samantha blows a whistle Maurice gave her. Maurice appears, makes a magic gesture and the three witches find themselves shivering on a mountaintop. They are brought back by Maurice on condition they promise not to meddle with his grandchild. Later, Maurice offers Darrin and Samantha an evening on the town any place in the world while he baby-sits with Tabitha.
S03:E04 - Accidental Twins
Aunt Clara baby-sits with Tabitha Stephens and Timothy Tate when their parents go to the theatre. She entertains the babies with magic. Peeping through the window, Gladys Kravitz is completely befuddled. Her magic dulled by age, Aunt Clara's spells go awry and suddenly Timothy becomes twins. Aunt Clara can't remember how to undo the spell. Arriving home, Samantha and Darrin are aghast. Frantically, they try to keep the Tates from learning what happened to their baby. Since Larry has to catch an early plane, they persuade the Tates to leave Timothy overnight. The next morning, Louise arrives followed by Larry, whose flight has been delayed. As the Tates are on the verge of discovering the worst, Samantha realizes that a youthful Aunt Clara could solve the problem. She uses magic to make Aunt Clara ten years younger. Aunt Clara pronounces the proper spell and the twins are just one baby again. Leaving, Larry wishes he had another baby just like Timothy. Samantha and Darrin exchange weary looks.
S03:E05 - A Most Unusual Wood Nymph
Gerry O'Toole, a beautiful Irish girl who is a friend of Darrin's aunt arrives for a visit and announces she plans to stay with the Stephens until she gets a job. Samantha is cu-rious when Gerry announces she dislikes cats. She is startled when Gerry re-weaves a hole in Darrin's sweater perfectly. Endora tells Samantha Gerry is a wood nymph - a mortal enemy of witches. Samantha forces Gerry to reveal she come be-cause Darrin's ancestor, Darrin the Bold, slew Rufus the Red in the 14th Century, and that henceforth all his descendants have been cursed. Samantha tells Endora that she must return to the 14th Century and remove the curse by stopping Darrin the Bold from slaying Rufus the Red. Endora casts the spell and returns Samantha to l4tb Century Killkarney. Samantha stops the fatal duel between Darrin and Rufus by convincing each of the opponents that the other is in-vincible. Back home, Samantha finds Gerry pursuing Darrin. Her anger vanishes when she hears Darrin declaring his love for his wife. Gerry refuses to believe that Samantha has removed the curse. Endora summons Rufus the Red, who takes Gerry home with him. Later, Samantha wonders how Darrin would look with his ancestors red hair and moustache. She twitches her nose end gets the desired effect. Deciding Darrin gooks ridiculous, she twitches again and a puzzled Darrin returns to normal.
S03:E06 - Endora Moves in for a Spell
Uncle Arthur pops out of a painting in the Stephens home. Samantha tells him she is trying to stop Endora from encouraging Tabitha to use her witchcraft. Uncle Arthur's remark that Endora is an "old crone" brings his sister into the action in a fighting mood. A violent argument erupts and Endora, vowing never to return, leaves. Time passes and Darrin complains about the influence Uncle Arthur is having on Tabitha. When he tells Samantha he'd rather have Endora, his mother-in-law, appears. Pointing to a vacant lot, Endora produces a house and announces she is moving in. Uncle Arthur gestures and the house disappears. She calls the police, who send Officers Floyd and Noel to investigate Uncle Arthur and Endora continue their quarrel. Samantha, out of patience, insists they make up. After they leave, Darrin realizes the house is still on the supposedly vacant lot. When Samantha makes it vanish, Gladys gets hysterical again. Noel and Floyd decide the less said about it, the better. Later, while the Stephens enjoy the peace of being alone, Endora pops into a painting in the hallway. Immediately Uncle Arthur appears in a portrait next to her. Both admit they don't trust each other, but agree to remain in their frames to keep an eye on future happenings.
S03:E07 - Twitch or Treat
Darrin is incensed when Endora makes a house appear on a vacant lot near the Stephens home for a Halloween party. Uncle Arthur, who is constantly bickering with his sister, arrives. When Samantha begs her mother to remove the house, Endora decides to hold her party in the Stephens home and lavishly transforms the living room. That night, Boris approaches the house with Eva, a black cat. Before entering, he turns the cat into a beautiful woman. Gladys Kravitz phones Councilman Green and insists that he investigate the strange happenings. With champagne and food floating about the room, the party becomes a gala affair. Samantha has her problems stopping Eva from making a play for Darrin. Councilman Green and his campaign manager, Morgan, arrive. Darrin spots Willie Mays among the guests. Samantha assures him that Mays must be one of her group to achieve his home run record. Councilman Green and Morgan call off their investigation after Uncle Arthur has them walking through a non-existent house and falling into the shrubbery in the Stephens backyard. Endora insists on reciting poetry. Trying to stop her, Uncle Arthur turns the place into a shambles and Endora vanishes, along with the party. Later Darrin admits it was the most unusual Halloween party be ever attended. He crosses his fingers while wishing Endora never returns. Samantha expresses her surprise that Darrin believes in such silly superstitions.
S03:E08 - Dangerous Diaper Dan
Diaper Dan, secretly working for the A.J. Kimberly Adver-tising Agency, gives Samantha a baby rattle. As the rattle is bugged, Dan is able to tape all the conversation at the Stephens home. Samantha., proud of Darrin's creative ability, describes his ad campaigns to Endora. Day tapes it on the recording equipment in his truck. Larry Tate and Darrin are stunned when Mr. Wright, their new client, reveals that two of their ideas have already been presented by the Kimberly Agency. They tear their office apart searching for a hidden mike. Samantha is angry. when Darrin tells her she might be responsible for the leak. When Samantha and Darrin stop speaking to each other, Dan sends Samantha a bunch of roses, and Darrin a necktie. They makeup and discover that neither sent the other a gift. When Endora protests her innocence, Samantha phones the florist, and finds that Diaper Dan ordered the flowers. Checking further, Samantha discovers the rattle is bugged. She twitches her nose sad Dan's truck begins to disintegrate. Dan blubbers as diapers fly all over the street. Samantha twitches her nose again, as Dan plays his latest tape for Kimberly, and a stream of baby talk comes out. The next morning, Darrin reports that Mr. Wright is very happy with the new campaign. Diaper Dan arrives and tells Samantha that he's spending the next mouth is a rest home.
S03:E09 - The Short Happy Circuit of Aunt Clara
The Stephens are invited to the Tate home to meet a client, Mr. MacElroy, who manufactures shoes. Darrin agrees to let Aunt Clare babysit when Samantha tells him Aunt Clara is sad because she has lost her boy friend, Ocky, to a younger witch. Trying to get Tabitha to sleep, Aunt Clara decides to bring the piano upstairs. She reduces it to toy size, but it grows as she carries it, and she gets stuck on the stairs. Aunt Clara tries another spell and all the lights go out. Upset when Abner Kravitz reports the whole Eastern Seaboard is blacked out, Aunt Clara summons Ocky for help. He brings the Stephens' lights back on by raising his hands. Aunt Clara tells him to keep his hands up. Learning the lights are on at the Stephens', Larry insists they all go over there. Aunt Clara sees them coming and hides Ocky is a closet. A crew from the power company arrives to check. Gladys sneaks into the house sad ducks into Ocky's closet. She screams and the lights go out as Ocky drops his hands. Aunt Clara realizes she must get rid of dim. When Darrin opens the closet, a pair of shoes walks out. Gladys faints but MacElroy is delighted with the walking shoes, sure it is a gimmick Darrin has created for the advertising campaign. Darrin and Samantha decide not to disillusion Aunt Clara. They let her go on thinking she was responsible her the big blackout. Story by: Lee Erwin
S03:E10 - I'd Rather Twitch Than Fight
Darrin is furious when Samantha gives his orange and green checked sport jacket, bought before he was married, to Good Will. Larry and Louise Tate have been seeing Dr. Kramer, a psychiatrist who specializes in teaching married couples how to fight. Larry tells Darrin that the jacket, a symbol of Darrin's carefree bachelor days, represents a threat to Samantha. Meanwhile, Louise, lectures Samantha, emphasizing the importance of clothing and the gifts married couples exchange. Hoping to mend matters, Samantha uses magic and retrieves Darrin's jacket. Darrin, acting on Larry's opinion that sensible clothes imply happiness sad security, buys Samantha a drab bathrobe. Darrin and Samantha each feel the gifts indicate a dissatisfaction with their marriage and the rift widens. Larry suggests they see Dr. Kramer Although Endora is stunned when Samantha reveals she pleas to consult a psychiatrist, she insists on the best and summons Dr. Freud himself. Dr. Freud has settled Samantha's problems to his own satisfaction when Dr. Kramer arrives. They start arguing who will handle the case and square off when Kramer accuses Freud of father fixation. As Samantha and Darrin try to separate them, Endora uses magic to send Freud back to the unconscious. Twitching her nose, Samantha produces a lush smoking jacket for Darrin and a sexy negligee for herself to celebrate their reconciliation.
S03:E11 - Oedipus Hex
Samantha agrees to serve on a fund raising committee. Later, she tells Endora she wishes Darrin would forget about business now and then. Endora flicks her fingers and a bowl of popcorn appears. Darrin eats a handful and announces he's taking the day off. The milkman nibbles some popcorn and de-cides to join Darrin. Larry Tate phones and is incensed when Darrin declares he's not going to the office. Arriving to check, harry takes some popcorn and joins Darrin and she milkman in a game of stud poker. Samantha makes them move out to the patio when her committee members arrive. Mr. Parkinson, the client, comes to the Stephens house to tell Larry he is staking his account out of the agency. Nibbling on the popcorn, Parkinson immediately loses interest in the business world. A policeman, coming to give Parkinson a ticket, eats some popcorn and joins the group. Darrin demands something more substantial to eat than pop-corn. Since Samantha didn't buy any popcorn, she recognizes Endora's touch in the mad afternoon. Still high on popcorn, Darrin and his cohorts take over the fund raising, and call on their friends for heavy contributions. The ladies, who have begun to nibble on popcorn, are delighted with the men's success. Samantha makes Endora remove the spell sad everything goes back to normal. When Samantha explains that she joined the committee to make friends, Endora makes another gesture and Samantha is soon swamped with calls for her services.
S03:E12 - Sam's Spooky Chair
Shopping for antiques, Samantha is intrigued by an old chair which moves about to catch her attention. She buys the chair end goes home to prepare dinner for the Tates, Max Cos-grove, an agency client, and his domineering wife, Adelaide. Larry and Darrin hope to get Max to renew his contract during dinner but are continually foiled by. Adelaide. The chair, seems to take a dislike to Darrin and tries to kick him, but Adelaide insists on having it. Yielding to Darrin's pleas, Samantha sells the chair to Adelaide, who decides Max will sign the contract in the morning. During the night, the chair returns to the Stephens home. Blaming Max for its disappearance, Adelaide again holds up the contract. When Max sees the chair, he accepts Darrin's explanation that it is a copy but insists on having it for Adelaide. The chair immediately begins making life difficult for the Cosgroves. Every time Adelaide sits down, it throws her on the floor. When Max leans on it, the chair collapses. Angry with Max, Adelaide decides to go back to her mother. Then Fedora reveals that the chair is Clyde Farnsworth, a warlock, who trans-formed himself when Samantha rejected him. Samantha returns him to human form and makes him understand that he must forget her. Before returning to his new love -- a lamp in the antique shop -- Clyde makes a copy of the chair. Happy with her chair, Adelaide allows Max to sign the contract.
S03:E13 - My Friend Ben
Finding Samantha struggling to repair a lamp, Aunt Clara uses her uncertain powers of magic to summon an electrician. Benjamin Franklin, in l8th century clothes, appears. Samantha is upset by Ben's presence and Aunt Clara's wail that she can't remember how to undo the spell. Darrin, astonished by Ben's appearance in his home, can't convince Larry Tate that Ben is not is creation for an advertising campaign for Franklin Elec-tronics. Abner Kravitz refuses to believe Gladys' report that the real Ben Franklin is at the Stephens'. Bowing to Samantha's pleas, Darrin agrees to allow her and Aunt Clara to show Ben how his inventions are being used is the city. The next morning Ben, leaving a note that he has decided to tour the city alone to avoid causing domestic discord, sets out. Darrin, Samantha and Aunt Clara start searching for him. At a firehouse, inspecting an old fire engine, Ben steps on the accelerator. The engine shoots out into the street and slams into a curb. Ben is arrested and taken to court, where the judge, sure it is all a publicity stunt, charges him with grand larceny and sets bail at a thousand dollars. Darrin puts up the bail, knowing he will lose it if Ben doesn't appear for trial is a month. Just then, Aunt Clara remembers the spell and Ben vanishes.
S03:E14 - Samantha for the Defense
Summing up "My Friend Ben" Samantha tells how Aunt Clara, trying to summon an electrician to fix a lamp, produces Ben Franklin instead. Ben is arrested for stealing a fire engine. Aunt Clara makes Ben disappear just after Darrin puts up a thousand dollars bail to guaranty Ben's appearance at the trial. Assistant DA Chuck Hawkins feels Ben's appearance is a publicity stunt. He tells Darrin that Ben, or whoever he is, will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Aunt Clara finally manages to bring Ben back. Darrin tells Ben his trial for stealing the engine will be held in two days. Samantha and Aunt Clara go to work to turn public opinion in favor of Ben. The prosecution produces a series of witnesses. Most of their testimony, calculated to damage Ben's case is skillfully refuted by Ben himself, but he feels that Darrin and Gladys Kravitz have weakened his cause. Samantha disappears and comes back with a plaque from the fire engine reading "Benjamin Franklin Memorial Fire Engine." Applause hails her statement that a man can't be accused of stealing his own property. Wiggling her nose, Samantha immobilizes the DA. She sums up the case that the defendant should be thanked for reminding everyone of all that Ben Franklin accomplished, and of his wisdom. Ben is acquitted, and tells Darrin he is planning a night on the town with Aunt Clara. Samantha assures Darrin they'll be all right, since they're both over two hundred years old.
S03:E15 - A Gazebo Never Forgets
Samantha tells Aunt Clara she plans to get a bank loan in order to tear down the gazebo and build a rumpus room. At the park, Tabitha fancies another baby's toy elephant and twitches it over. Before Samantha can return it, the child's mother accuses her of being a toy snatcher. At the bank, Mr. Scranton learns that Darrin works for MacMahon and Tate. Since his brother is president of one of the firm's biggest accounts, Scranton approves the loan, but sends Hawkins to appraise the Stephens property just as a formality. At home, Tabitha de-mands a toy elephant. Aunt Clara waves her arms and a live polka dotted baby elephant appears. Samantha begs Aunt Clara to get rid of it but finds that she needs the toy elephant to do so. Hawkins sees the multi-colored elephant in the living room and drives off. Soon Larry phones that he's bringing Scranton over to squelch the wild story before he repeats it to his brother. Aunt Clara brings the toy elephant but she and Samantha can't make the live animal disappear before Tate, Scranton and Hawkins arrive. Samantha manages to hide it until the elephant's head suddenly breaks through the wall. Samantha convinces Hawkins that Darrin bagged it on safari. Aunt Clara pronounces the spell, the toy disappeared, and the live baby elephant takes its place is the park.
S03:E16 - Soapbox Derby
Samantha helps twelve year old Johnny Mills get his Soap Box Derby Racer to the practice area. Gladys Kravitz boasts that her nephew Flash will sweep the local contests and go on to win the finals at Akron. When Johnny's wheel wobbles, Samantha giggles her nose end Gladys accuses her of helping him. Samantha learns that Johnny's father, a hardworking garage owner, is determined that nothing will, stop his son from going to medical school. Fearing his father's disapproval, Johnny has secretly built his racer and asks Samantha's help in getting his father to sign the entry blank. Samantha accomplishes this, by magic, but he refuses to attend the race. At the track, Gladys and Darrin watch Samantha closely, to be sure she doesn't help Johnny. When Johnny, on his own, beats Flash, Gladys protests. Mr. Martin, an official, holds up presentation of the trophy until he can question Johnny's father. Samantha pops off and using magic again, gets Mr. Mills to the hearing. When Martin inquires whether Johnny built the racer himself, Mills listens with pride. Johnny explains he assembled the car himself after watching his father at work. When Johnny receives a scholarship after winning the finals, Samantha rea-lizes his father need not fear about Johnny's education. Darrin tells Samantha she's very good at making the dreams of both a man and a boy come true.
S03:E17 - Sam in the Moon
Darrin asks Samantha to loin him in watching moon pictures on TV, but she replies she's already been there. Then Endora takes Samantha shopping in Tokyo. She buys some unique tea from Watanabe, a Japanese warlock. Darrin asks Larry Tate what a person knowing an inexpensive way to reach the moon should do. He replies it would be that person's patriotic duty to inform the authorities. On Samantha's return, Darrin asks where she has been and refuses to believe she's been in Japan. However, he accepts her annoyed explanation that she's been on another trip to the moon. Darrin dreams that he has reported Samantha to NASA officials. Although he does everything to save her, she is taken into custody by the authorities. Meanwhile, Darrin takes and tea end a package containing house dust to be analyzed by Mr. Grand, the neighborhood pharmacist. For a while Darrin thinks the dust is moon dust, and that Grand has reported it to NASA. Then Darrin finds that Grand was interested in the unusual tea because his brother-in-law from Nassau County thought it would have a great sale is his chain of stores. Darrin questions Samantha about the moon again, but she replies there are some things a wife should never tell a husband.
S03:E18 - Hoho the Clown
Darrin is fired when Tabitha wins all the pries on a TV show.

Endora's gift of a unique car sends Darrin's client into a spin.
S03:E20 - The Corn Is as High as a Guernsey's Eye
Samantha steals a cow, thinking it is Aunt Clara.
