Cities of Crime

Table Mountain divides the city of Cape Town, South Africa into two distinct regions. To the southeast of the Cape’s central business district exist the Cape Flats, a region with little economic buoyancy where law enforcement officials spend 75% of their time dealing with the drug trafficking and violence that stem from the multitude of organized gangs that have staked a claim in the Flats.
