When Jessie is struck with a bout of insomnia, Tom learns that in marriage, one partners problem becomes the others. He decides to buy her a high-tech sleep machine, but the problem only worsens. After Tom cuts his finger at a knife skills class due to lack of sleep, Jessie takes a drastic sacrifice, and crashes in her old bed at the Hills. It is then that she finally sleeps, and Tom and Jessie get a taste of life without the other. Tom discovers the root of Jessies problem is space, and must find a way to give some back to her.
