Ben is torn following Piper’s request that he change his police statement about Tyler. After a sleepless night, he confides in Xanthe, admitting he’s thinking about it. After all, he desperately wants to help Tyler. But Xanthe is outraged, and confronts Piper about how selfish she’s being by making such a request. Piper rethinks her situation and realizes Xanthe is right. She catches Ben just in time and apologizes, but Ben remains torn about Tyler’s predicament. Piper crumbles, too confronted by the notion of Tyler going to jail for ten years, but Xanthe picks her up, reminding her she still has things to look forward to even if the worst case scenario eventuates.
