Living with street drinkers, 15 year old Lorraine Thorpe came from a broken home, under the spell of violent 42 year old drinker, Paul Clarke. In 2009, Rosalyn Hunt was tortured and murdered by Clarke and Thorpe after she had kicked his dog. Thorpe "played a full part" in the attack. At her trial the prosecution said she could be ''manipulative'' and was not acting entirely under Clarke's control, adding: 'She found violence funny and entertaining.' She described to friends how she stamped on Rosalyn's head.The couple then went on to murder Desmond Thorpe, Lorraine's father for "fear that he would go and tell the police what happened to Rosalyn Hunt". Thorpe was jailed in 2010 for both murders and will serve at least 14 years. The judge in his sentencing said: "I don't accept that she was entirely under the control of Mr Clarke. She is someone who can be quite stubborn and wilful and is capable of being highly manipulative herself.
