Taxi driver LUK KA-YAT has a strange encounter at midnight after giving a ride to a woman in red, so his taxi driver friend MA KWAI starts telling other fellow cab drivers as to what happened. Among them, WONG SIU-DAN, who is armed with all sorts of spells, charms and malas, warns KA-YAT that his taxi is haunted. Instantly, MA KWAI and his non-blood related uncle MOK YAU-WAI stop SIU-DAN from continuing because they do not believe in ghosts. MA KWAI learns that his crush, female doctor CHONG TSZ-YEUK, calls a taxi, so he rushes there only to run into all sorts of obstacles along the way. Just as he is about to urinate, he receives a call from a customer. The senior arrives yet soon disappears, leaving MA KWAI no other choice but to go into the bushes to urinate in a hurry. After he returns home, his mother LEUNG CHING-CHING, a devoted Buddhist, mentions that she wants to buy a Dzi bead worth $100,000 so as to keep her home and family safe, to which MA KWAI refuses. Following the ensuing dispute, MA KWAI goes upstairs to MOK YAU-WAI’s home to complain about this.
