Tam, a kind and beautiful young woman, is ill treated by her stepmother and stepsister but has a fairy guardian watching over her. A demon pretending to be a faithful servant to the king awaits an opportunity to become human. An intrepid prince is asked to marry politically but he instead declares that he is going to marry the woman whose feet fit the silk shoes, hoping Tam’s feet will be a match.
