With LAI KAI-PANG suddenly going insane, the police send him to Yan Wo Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, during which Senior Doctor KO LAP-YAN of the Department of Psychiatry observes KAI-PANG and also gets information from his wife. Later on, LAP-YAN resigns from the hospital in preparation for his wedding ceremony with his fianc_e MOK MAN-YEE as well as their honeymoon. On the other hand, LAP-YAN's fellow colleague LIN CHI-SUM has set up his own mental health clinic, actively persuading him to practice medicine there. Due to his investigation on KAI-PANG, LAP-YAN gets to know LEUNG KAI-WING, a Forensic Doctor of the Bok On Hospital. KAI-WING indicates that KAI-PANG was likely to pretend to have a psychotic disorder so as to commit the crime, in view of which LAP-YAN gives him a little hint. At the front door of the hospital, KAI-WING bumps into LAI's wife and daughter, who are quarreling with each other. Apart from approaching them to mediate the dispute, KAI-WING also enquires LAI's wife regarding her husband's mental illness to see if any errors were made. Unfortunately he is forestalled by LO YING-KEI, a Senior Doctor of the Department of Psychiatry. Before LAP-YAN heads to the airport, KAI-WING goes to consult him, who is also caught on the contradiction as soon as he hears about the new testimony given by LAI's wife and daughter. Meanwhile, KAI-WING is informed that KAI-PANG's daughter was rushed to the hospital after her failed suicide attempt. CHI-SUM not only cuts off LAP-YAN at the airport, but also borrows the key of MAN-YEE's home and takes LAP-YAN there. Having seen the wedding vows left behind by MAN-YEE, LAP-YAN cannot help shedding some tears.
