Introduction

The Creator Portal is Tubi’s new self-service tool for our approved ecosystem of creators. With it, you or your team can:

  • Upload and manage your content directly
  • Add and edit assets and metadata
  • Track performance using built-in reporting tools

Who Can Use the Portal?

  • Individual creators and their teams distributing their own content
  • Aggregators managing content libraries on behalf of multiple creators

Access

Access is currently limited to creators and aggregators with approved deals with Tubi. You’ll receive login credentials once you’re approved.

Getting Started

Logging In

  1. Go to https://creator.tubitv.com/
  2. Enter your assigned credentials.

Navigating the Portal

The global navigation bar (left side) includes:

  • Dashboard – overview of all Channels in your account.
  • My Content – view all uploaded content (filter by Channel or state: Draft, Pending, Active.)
  • Earnings
  • VOD Performance – view revenue performance: same dashboards as Partner Portal.
  • Profile – view details, reset password, or log out.

What’s a Channel?

A Channel = an individual creator.

  • Channel name and iconography do not appear on the Tubi service.
  • Single creators → 1 Channel.
  • Aggregators → 1 Channel per creator they manage.
  • Channels have been pre-configured per the signed deals with content partners with any existing live content already been backfilled into the respective Channel.

There’s a question about the primary audience of my content. How do I determine the primary audience for my video?

Use the guidance below to determine the primary audience for your content and select the correct age range.

Primary Audience: Under 13

Tubi content creators are required to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), regardless of location. Creators are required to indicate whether videos are created for kids.

When deciding whether or not the primary audience for your content is under 13, you should consider the following guidance from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

The “Under 13" age range is for video content that is primarily directed to children under the age of 13. Content for this age range may include:

  • Child-oriented subject matter (e.g. nursery rhymes, unboxing videos featuring children’s toys)
  • Child-appealing visual content (e.g. child-friendly typography and persistent use of high-contrast, highly saturated colors)
  • The use of animated characters or cartoon characters
  • The presence of child actors, celebrities or influencers
  • Child-oriented activities (e.g. sing-alongs)
  • Child-oriented music or other audio content
  • Child-oriented stories or songs
  • Language that is able to be understood by children
  • Metadata indicating the video is directed to or intended for children
  • The promotion of products or toys for children

When content is selected as created for a primary audience under the age of 13, the only rating options presented will be TV-G or TV-PG.

Primary Audience: Ages 13-15

The “13-15" age range is for video content that is primarily directed to individuals between the ages of 13 and 15. Content for this age range may include:

  • School-life scenarios involving early high school or middle school
  • Lighthearted friendship drama, crushes, or beginner dating
  • Teen influencers or characters doing challenges, pranks, lifestyle vlogs, or gaming
  • DIY, crafts, entry-level tutorials, or beginner hobby content
  • Bright or energetic visual styles that appeal to younger teens (but not children)
  • Simple, upbeat humor and mild language
  • Content featuring lead characters around ages 13-15
  • Content with no sexual themes, no substance use, and no intense or realistic violence

Primary Audience: Ages 16-17

The “16–17" age range is for video content that is primarily directed to individuals between the ages of 16 and 17. Content for this age range may include:

  • Movies or series featuring older teens in dramatic or high-stakes situations
  • Older teen drama, including breakups, jealousy, friendship conflicts, or complex social dynamics
  • Supernatural or dystopian stories where older teen characters face danger, rebellion, or survival challenges
  • School-life content centered on juniors/seniors, prom, SATs, college applications, or graduation
  • Vlogs, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, or music content produced by older teen creators using more mature humor or style
  • Sports or competition content with heightened emotional stakes or rivalries

Primary Audience: Ages 18 and Up

The “18 and Up" age range is for video content that is primarily directed to individuals ages 18 and over. Content for this age range may include:

  • Content featuring sexual themes, nudity, explicit language, graphic violence, or detailed substance use
  • Content with mature themes such as careers, finances, adult relationships, parenting, or marriage
  • Cooking or travel content focused on adult interests
  • Home buying, budgeting, investing, taxes, or other adult-oriented life skills
  • Crime documentaries, true crime discussions, political or legal analysis
  • Outdoor or recreational content centered on weapons-related sport
  • Content focused on mature lifestyle topics, including nightlife, party culture, vice culture, extreme lifestyles, or major personal transformations
  • Commentary, gaming, or documentary-style content aimed at adults, including controversial debates, mature gaming with unfiltered commentary, addiction or recovery topics, and deep dives into psychology, human behavior, or mental health
