Production Journey 101

What is “Production Status”? 

Production status serves as an easy way to stay up to date with the film status of select Stubios. When you tap on the Production Status button, it will take you to the updates page where you can view all of the updates the Creator has published in regards to their film. 

What is “Pre-production”?

Pre-production refers to the initial phase of a creative project or production process. It is the stage where ideas are developed, plans are made, and preparations are done before the actual production begins. 

Pre-production tasks include scriptwriting, storyboarding, budgeting, casting, location scouting, and scheduling. 

What is “Production”?

Production refers to the next step of a creative project or production process. It is the stage in which the script is brought to life.  It encompasses a range of tasks that require collaboration among creative and technical professionals.

Production tasks include shooting, direction, camera work, sound recording, and art direction/costumes. 

What is “Post-production”?

Post-production refers to the final step of the production process. It is where the raw footage captured during production is transformed into the final product that audiences will see. This stage involves various creative and technical processes to refine the visual and auditory elements of the film. 

Post-production tasks include editing, sound design, visual effects (VFX), color grading, and screenings/test audiences.
