Dance of the Severed Head

This film explores the ritualistic tradition of Indian Culture, through a more than 250 years old Folk Festival, GAJON, happening in a small village Kurmun, West Bengal, India. The story behind the occurrence and existence of this festival is been preserved through Oral Literature. There are some ancient Tantra rituals followes and practiced in this festival. Karma Wangchuk, a filmmaker from Bhutan sets out on an adventurous journey to find out whether these rituals are mere superstition? Or is there more values or hidden meaning attached to it?
