Glam rock star Brian Slade predicts and enacts his own death onstage. When the killing is exposed as a hoax, Slade's stardom quickly ends. A decade later, journalist Arthur Stuart tracks Slade through his early life and his initial encounter with American singer Curt Wild as well as ex-wife Mandy Slade, whose marriage paralleled his Bowie-like ascent to fame as an innovative, bisexual rock star pushing the limits.
