Park Life: London
London's Hyde Park is probably one of the most famous parks in the world. Together with Kensington Gardens it forms London's green lung. But the park is also a democratic open space and thus a reflection of the colourful and multicultural life in the British capital. Our cinematic walk through the park starts with the cherry blossom in April. In the north-eastern corner of Hyde Park, cabinetmaker Patrick McEvoy climbs on a soapbox to proclaim his views of the British economy. For almost 150 years, the religious, political and philosophical debates at Speakers Corner have been a symbol of British tolerance and freedom. Combining exceptional aerial photography with lovingly observed, often funny and quirky encounters with people in and around the park, this film offers a unique perspective of one of the world's most beautiful urban oases.
