Jin returns Tom Kim's pen, bringing them closer. Gil Yong, heartbroken, drops out of school. The landlady visits, hoping to find her son a spouse, sharing noodles chosen by Jin.

Discovering YC's marriage and witnessing his violence, Gil Yong protects Jin. Seeking solace, Jin visits her mom, who comforts her with homemade kimchi, bean sprout porridge.
S01:E08 - Episode 8
Discovering Hee Ra is her mother who abandoned her, Jin seeks revenge by becoming a witch. After a final meal, Hee Ra leaves, entrusting Jin with the Witch's Diner.
