
Mummy Nanny
Mummy Nanny is a screwball comedy – or should we say a bundle of wrapped up fun? An Egyptian mummy stolen by the unscrupulous antique dealer Mr. Big is rudely awakened after 5.000 years of healthy sleep. Looking for a disguise she finds a job as an au pair in the Elsewhere family. She is enthusiastically welcomed by their kids Alex and Samantha who love the friendly new nanny. The culture clash between ancient Egypt and the 21st century couldn’t be more humorous. But Ulysses follows Mummy Nanny's tracks and finds the Elsewheres. Despite his evil attempts to get her back he must learn that the eccentric Elsewheres are a little more than he bargained for....

S01:E01 - In the Beginning
Nile, a young women in ancient Egypt, is supposed to learn magic from her uncle Akeltonton but is constantly getting the magic spells mixed up. In the end she turns herself into a mummy bandaged with a treasure map cut into stripes. She only awakes again in the present time. Alex and Capucine, a boy and a girl who are living with their parents in France, are awaiting an au-pair, which they are very unhappy about.

S01:E02 - The 5000 Year Vacation!
Since it is Nile’s birthday, Uncle Onk decides to try and bring her back to his time for a visit. Meanwhile, Nile and the Elsewhere’s are about to begin their family vacation. Onk gets more than he bargained for as his spell ends up bringing the entire airplane the Elsewhere’s are on, back to Ancient Egypt. Dorothy put herself under an hyponotic trance to calm her fear of flying. The Pharoah takes a liking to Dorothy and decided to make her his next wife!

S01:E03 - A Casket for Two
Setrotris is wearing a mask of Anubis which got stuck on his head. The time window opens, and Akeltonton and Setrotris are flying to the future of their niece, Nile. At the same time, Oursin and Calamar are trying to break into the home of Alex and Capucine. Nile encountes Setrotris but because of the mask mistakes him for the god of the dead and fearfully hides inside the closet. Julien, who is working on a vampire novel, is trying to rest in a coffin.

S01:E04 - Party Animals
Alex and Capucin want to have a diguise party with their mother’s colleagues. For this occasion, they’ve dressed up as extraterrestrials. The two children scare a women who’s ringing their doorbell so much with their costumes that she faints. Nile takes a test-tube from Delphine’s experimental lab which she wants to use as smelling salts to help the lady. When the lady smells it she turns green and seems to be dead. To prevent their mother Delphine from finding out anything, the children, together with Nile, hide the seemingly dead woman in the vacant house next door.

S01:E05 - The Sacred Chameleon
Mr. Big enlists the help of a sacred chameleon to find the mummy. He gives it as a secret gift to the Elsewhere’s, who have been chosen to be on the “Win a day at your house contest.” One of Dorothy’s concoctions goes awry and with the help of the sacred chameleon, everyone begins turning into mummies. Finally, Uncle Onk is called in to save the day.

S01:E06 - Grandma´s Hair-Loom
Alex and Samanta, together with Nile, visit the exhibition about Egyptian art at the city museum. There, as so often, a mishap again happens to the endearing mummy. She inadvertently takes a valuable object from the exhibition when she goes home: The diadem of her grandmother, Oma-No-Fies. When the children and Nile notice the mistake, other familiar figures are getting involved in the story, too: Bossa-no-va with his cronies, Longfinger and Blondy, who are again close behind in pursuit of the mummy. And the two dumb police offers who were ordered to spearhead the investigation of the theft. Once again, chaos is preprogrammed.

S01:E07 - Spaced Out
Dorothee and Julian are spending a romantic candlelight dinner together. In the meantime, Nile is terrified to spend the evening alone at home with the two children, Alex and Samantha. Supposedly, flying saucers were sighted in the area. Bossa-no-va takes advantage of the general U.F.O. hysteria and sends his two henchmen, Blondy and Longfinger, disguised as extraterrestrials to the home of the Wunderlich family. He himself is meanwhile waiting in a self-built flying saucer in the frontyard.

S01:E08 - Mummy Marooned
Christmas is right around the corner, and the astronaut Ivan Kussikussabov is seriously depressed because he has been surrounding Earth alone in his space station for a very long time. To cheer up the astronaut a little, the head of the space station [sic] Cape Carneval decides to send up Ivan’s relatives. At the same time, Julian Wunderlich, who is just working on his science fiction novel, and his family arrive at Cape Carneval. There, a hair-raising mix-up occurs, and the Wunderlich family is erroneously sent up into space instead of Ivan’s relatives.

S01:E09 - Premiere Perils
The great director Boris von Nascherov is directing a piece by Julien Wunderlich at the city theatre. On the occasion of the premiere, the entire family is going to the theatre. Bossa-no-va, Blondy and Longfinger, too, show up at the theatre to look for the mummy. In the middle of this hopeless chaos, Nile, her uncle Atonkelton with his companion Tristotis, as well as Blondy and Longfinger end up on stage during the performance, and their realistic presentation, paired with the actors on stage, leads to a gigantic happening. In his dispair about the apparent fiasco of his premiere, the director almost suffers a heart attack, but Nile and the two children Samantha and Alex manage with a few unusual moves to turn the performance into a huge success.

S01:E10 - Virtual Catastrophe
Julian goes to a computer store and tries out a virtual helmet. Then he drives home with this thing on his head. Because he mistakes the computer world for the reality, he’s driving much too fast and rams various hydrants. Our two policemen follow him all the way home. There, the portal of the future has just opened through which two thieves from ancient Egypt were able to intrude the home of the Wunderlich family to steal a floorlamp and a video game. The Pharao is completely enchanted by this game. One by one, Julian, the two policemen, Alex, Samantha and Nile arrive through the time portal.

S01:E11 - Love at Sea
On the occasion of the Lovers’ Festival, the ball of the shy takes place on a cruise ship. Bossa-no-va decides to dress Longfinger as a Gigolo so that he can charm Nile and take her aboard. Since Julian and Dorothea also want to go to the ball, the family needs a babysitter, who is played by Blondy. While out shopping, Nile falls in love with the escaped mafioso Luigi Midnightini, who conincidentally looks exactly like the disguised Longfinger. When Longerfinger shows up at Nile’s place to invite her to the ball, she excitedly accepts. Aboard the cruise, Julian causes the ship to run aground and sink.

S01:E12 - Surf, Sand & Sarcophagus
Bossa-no-va presents the Wunderlich family with a free vacation in a mansion on the seaside so that he can search their home in the meantime – naturally, without finding anything. Meanwhile in ancient Egypt, Tristotis and Atonkelton are travelling on a death barque to the temple of Breathlessep. Without noticing, they pass through the portal of time and land exactly in the place where the Wunderlich family is just vacationing. Coincidentally, the two policemen are also there to get a rest. And consequently, a turbulent chaos results.

S01:E13 - Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow
Julien Wunderlich is working on his new novel “The Invisible Man” and because of it has wrapped himself in bandages. At a talkshow with host Armand some turmoil develops during which Armand loses his hair and the police pursue Julien as a serial scalper. Nile is accidentially covered with Dorothea’s experimental glue and needs to be taken to the hospital as a mummy. There, Bossa-no-va, disguised as a physician, frees her from her prison, but she can escape in time. Armand, in spite of his aversion, continues to encounter Julien Wunderlich.

S01:E14 - Super Model Super Mummy!
Nil is depressed. She thinks she’s ugly and skinny and believes nobody finds her attractive. The Elsware family is invited to designer Jean Gol Pauthier’s fashion-show because of Dorothy’s creation of a garment she made for him. As usual, her invention lacked the finishing touch and the ensuing turbulence is inevitable. Crabhead and Squidface sneaked into the event disguised as a film-crew. Julius raps the whole time, having to come up with lyrics for a big DJ. While the clothes made of Dorothy’s garment lose their shape, Nil enters the catwalk to the rapping singsong of Julius. The crowd applauds frenetically and receives the bandage-fashion with enthusiasm.

S01:E15 - Freezer Burn
Julius wants to write a book about the famous Gerda Gunninger. That’s why the entire Elsware family is invited to visit Gerda’s mansion. Her husband Gerd just had himself deep-frozen in a sarcophagus-like container to escape the talkative nature of his wife. Dorothy, who is working on a freeze-and-thaw device, retrieves Gerd from his cold-sleep state by accident. Gerd and Atonkelton happen to look alike, and when the time-portal opens, a sure case of mistaken identity is taking place. Dorothy deep-freezes Atonkelton. Crabhead and Squidface kidnapped Gerda’s two servants and assumed their place.

S01:E16 - Mutants, Moles & Mummies
Mutant Moles have been ravaging the cities underground. Nile and the kids go into the tunnels to investigate. There they run into escaped convict Frankie Midnightini who decides to hold them as hostage. In attempting to escape, Nile’s magic brings the group back to Ancient Egypt. Julius is mistaken as a mutant mole, but later it’s determined that he was the one who saved the city from further destruction.

S01:E17 - Camping Catastrophe
While on a camping trip, the Elsewhere’s mistakenly set up camp on government property. Nile tries some magic which inadvertently sends a signal to the military, causing them to think there is an invasion by the Gadoukastani Army. Nile and the others accidentally infiltrate the missile launch site and the fireworks really begin.

S01:E18 - Mummy for Ransom!
Nile is taking lessons to learn to drive. Meanwhile Dorothy has come up with a new anti-wrinkle cream, which accidentally turns Julius and Dorothy back into little kids. When Mr. Big attempts to kidnap the Elsewhere kids, it’s actually the younger versions of Julius and Dorothy. Nile rescues them and Dorothy figures how to fix the problem with the anti wrinkle cream.

S01:E19 - Mummy Misery at Amazingland!
A new amusement park named Amazingland is having its grand opening. Nil wins tickets to the opening. Atonkelton & Tristotis arrive via the open of the portal of the future and Dorothea travels back to old Egypt where she enjoys the supposed show. A little elixir on the family’s sandwich turns a park magician-turned-monkey into a King Kong sized monster. Nil hopes to meet her crush, Prince Iron Gut, at the park, but has to constantly flee from her uncle and his friend with the missing shadow. She is kidnapped by the giant ape and is saved by the timely intervention of her uncle Atonkelton. Shortly afterward the portal of the future closes again.

S01:E20 - The Substitute Mummy!
Two inspectors are coming to Alex’s school. The school’s director, also called the mummy, locks Alex and his friend Barney in the school dungeon because the result of the inspection could mean his transfer to Antarctica. Bossa-no-va believes said Mummy to be his ticket to fortune and so kidnaps both inspectors and sends Blondie and Longfinger into the school instead. Nil brings Samantha the figurines she forgot and is promptly instated as substitute history teacher.
