Army officer Vronsky falls in love with Anna, who returns to her husband, Karenin, and their son.

Anna returns Vronsky's feelings, and becomes pregnant with his child.
S01:E04 - Episode 4
Levin realizes that he still loves Dolly's sister, Kitty. Meanwhile, tensions build between Karenin and Anna.

After a difficult birth to a baby girl, Anna flees with Vronky without obtaining a divorce from Karenin.
