Clare discovers that Barney is on drugs, so her new mission in life is saving him. Janice sleeps with a famous thriller writer and can't wait to go to confession to tell her priest.

An author comes to the book group meeting so he can hear them discuss his work.

Barney's brother delivers bad news about Barney. Janice admits she's having an affair.
