Erio, despite her beautiful appearance, is a strange girl who believes herself to be an alien. One night, Erio asks to be taken to a distant beach.

Makoto is irritated by Erio's attempt to escape reality by making herself believe that everything was done by aliens.

Makoto broke his right arm while partaking in an "adolescent" activity and has been stuck in the hosipital since. Erio doesn't come to visit Makoto.

Meme grows desperate and crazed upon her 40th birthday. Erio gives her a gift, which spurs her on to celebrate Erio's birthday the next day.

Ryuuko rediscovers Erio's infamy. She is worried that Makoto might get ostracized at school because of Erio's past.

One month ago, Maekawa-san received five plastic soda bottles from the man.He asks Maekawa-san to build plastic bottle rockets for him.

After thinking really, really hard, Meme decides to cheer her ailing mother up by making plastic bottle rockets.

It's summer vacation! Not really having much else to do, Makoto accepts an invite to play baseball with Maekawa-san.

The city's baseball team roster includes a self-proclaimed psychic/alien named Yashiro. At night, Yashiro comes out in full astronaut gear.

Makoto is invited to lunch at the Maekawa residence. While playing games with Maekawa-san, Makoto is told he's "good at giving up on things" by her.

The shopping center's baseball team and the city's team schedule a match to decide who may host the festival.

Makoto goes to the festival with Ryuuko. Makoto gets to the shrine where Erio is waiting and is greeted by Yashiro.
