After a near-death experience, a lonely store clerk meets an angel with memory problems and no ability to fly and decides to offer him shelter.

Kouki's mom suddenly drops in, and Kouki fills in the angel on his past.

The angel realizes that only Kouki can see him, prompting Kouki to investigate why fate brought them together.

After following a trail of evidence, Kouki and the angel gradually piece together the latter's former life.
