S01:E01 - Cupcakes
Eric Lanlard, Master Patissier welcomes a teacher’s bake club to his home to show them how to make the perfect cupcake. He gives constructive criticism on their chocolate & hazelnut cupcakes and then turns teacher to give them the recipes for his cupcakes selection, a decadent roasted pineapple as well as tiramisu.
S01:E02 - Celebration Cakes
Eric Lanlard, Master Patissier is invited to create a fabulous Wedding Cake for Delicious magazines Royal Wedding Special. This week he is joined at home by a keen baking family who are trying to make the perfect celebration cake for a family christening.
S01:E03 - Healthy Baking
This week’s episode shows that baking can be a healthy alternative. Eric invites a health focussed bake club to his home and shows them how to make an egg, dairy and nut free chocolate cake. Eric also takes a visit to Stoke Mandeville stadium, home of the Paralympics to train with the London Wheelchair Rugby Club and to bake them an energy packed apple cake.
S01:E04 - Parties and Fun
Eric invites the Sainsbury’s bake club to his home to show them some spectacular molecular gastronomy which includes raspberry coulis spheres. Eric is also commissioned to create a glamorous centre piece for a party to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Carlton Tower Hotel.
S01:E05 - Chocolate
This week Eric gets the opportunity to use his favourite ingredient - chocolate. He invites a group of artistic bakers to his home who bring along a three tiered chocolate cake. After giving his opinion on their creation, he shows them how to make a chocolate and raspberry mousse. Eric also gets to meet up with his old friend Willie Harcourt-Cooze and tour around his chocolate factory.
S01:E06 - Summer Fruits
Master Pattisier, Eric Lanlard invites the Community Bakers to his home to try their red velvet cake. He then shows them how to make an upside down berry sponge. Eric also pays a visit to Covent Garden Flower Market where he orders some exotic fruit in order to create a flamboyant desert with Vivek Singh the Executive Chef of the Cinnamon Club to celebrate the restaurant’s 10 year anniversary.
S01:E07 - Classic French Patisserie
Eric gets to invite the British Council bake club to his house to teach them some classic French patisserie. He also takes a trip down to Burgh Island in Devon where Agatha Christie worked on many of her novels. Eric is challenged to create a cake for their Mardis Gras celebrations that draws on the islands history and the art deco architecture of the hotel for inspiration.
S01:E08 - Pastries
This week Eric meets with the mature students bake club to try their English style éclairs. He then teaches them how to make Choux Parisienne. Eric also sets up a pop- up shop in a trendy new bar in the heart of the London to see what the city makes of his cakes.
S01:E09 - Cheesecake
South American flair with the Brazilian Bakers. Eric tries their White Chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake as well as a Brazilian speciality. He then shows them a cheesecake recipe of his own in return. Eric also takes a trip to Kent to visit an English vineyard to compare English Wines with those of France, as well as creating a special cheesecake to complement a new bottle of fizz.
S01:E10 - Afternoon Tea
In the final episode of the series Eric meets with the Boxing Bake Club to compare cookies. They also offer to give him some tips in the ring in exchange for some tips in the kitchen. Being an art lover, Eric is excited to be commissioned by The Halcyon gallery in London to create an afternoon tea with a difference.
