S01:E02 - Punky Finds a Home, Pt. 3
Fresh from her escape from Fenster Hall, Punky is preparing Henry to go "on the lamb" with her - but after his talk with the social worker, Henry is unsure he'd be a good parent for Punky. The court hearing is tomorrow, and tonight Punky must return to Fenster Hall. The next day, Punky is shocked to learn that the social worker has arranged interviews with prospective parents: she does her best to convince each that she wouldn’t be a good adoptee, then sells the judge on letting her stay with Henry.
S01:E03 - Lost & Found / Punky Gets Her Own Room
While doing the weekly grocery shopping, Punky and Henry get separated in the store and Punky thinks she's been abandoned again. After being told by the social worker that Punky must have her own room, Henry grudgingly allows Punky to take over his beloved study. With the aid of Eddie and Cherie, Punky converts the study into a scene out of Oz.
S01:E04 - Walk Pool / Gone Fishin'
Henry accepts the task of walking Punky and friends to school, but he has no idea how difficult the chore can be. / Henry takes Punky and her friends to the lake to fish, especially hoping to catch Big Al - the one that always gets away. Instead he ends up fishing for kids.
S01:E05 - Take Me Out to the Ballgame
After Henry unknowingly buys counterfeit tickets to a Chicago Cubs-San Diego Padres play-off game at Wrigley Field, Punky arranges for them to sit in the dugout. Cubs players appear in cameo roles.
S01:E06 - Parents' Night
The class snob teases Punky by saying that Henry doesn't care enough about her to come to Parents Night at their school. Henry, busy on an advertising layout, doesn't understand why his attendance at the event is so important to Punky.
S01:E07 - A Visit to the Doctor / Go to Sleep
On a night that Henry has set aside to watch a special TV program, Punky presents him with an age-old parent-child problem: she cannot fall asleep. Confusion builds as both Henry and Punky try every means imaginable to get the little girl off to dreamland. Punky needs her immunization to begin school - and isn't anxious to get it, until Henry takes her to a pediatrician whose office is like an amusement park.
S01:E08 - Dog Dough Afternoon
Punky fears she's too much of an expense to Henry, so she starts a dog grooming business: Punky and Cherie overhear Henry and Mrs. Johnson say it costs 80,000 dollars to raise a child to the age of 18, so she goes to a bank to get a loan and ends up with her idea.
S01:E09 - Bye Bye My
Determined to rid Punky of an unhealthy obsession with an old dolly, Henry orders Eddy to throw it away. This is the worst mistake possible. Henry and Punky search for the doll in the building trash bin. After a Herculean, but futile effort to duplicate the doll, it is discovered that Eddie still has the original.
S01:E10 - Henry Falls in Love, Pt 1
Punky is hoping for a foster mother when Maggie, Henry's long-lost love, walks into his life again. Punky likes Maggie and is pleased with Henry's new outlook on life until developments indicate the romance is meant for two not three. Allyn Ann McLerie, the wife of series star George Gaynes, plays Maggie.
S01:E11 - Henry Falls in Love, Pt. 2
Punky runs away when she feels her presence may keep Henry from marrying Maggie. Frye's (Punky's) brother, Meeno Peluce, is guest in role of teen-age runaway.
S01:E12 - My Aged Valentine
Punky is more than 80 years old, an old maid, and still living with 140-year-old Henry - all in a dream spawned when friends encourage her to send a valentine to a boy.
S01:E13 - I Love You Brandon
Punky is shattered when her dog, Brandon, is critically injured by a speeding car after pushing her to safety, and a veterinarian says the animal must be put to sleep.
S01:E14 - Gals and Dolls
Punky, Cherie and Margaux, normally the best of friends, become archenemies when there is only one "Butter Lettuce Doll" available for sale and Punky gets it. Henry has been drafted by Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Kramer to buy a doll for each of the three girls, but they are so popular at the toy stores that he can only buy one. To make the choice fair, Brandon picks a name out of a hat and the doll is Punky's. But it doesn't make her happy when she loses her friends. This is a story about friendship and sharing.
S01:E15 - Fenster Hall, Pt 1 & Pt 2
T.C., a budding young thief who is taking lessons from an older, teenaged robber named Blade, steals Punky's jewelry box - but they soon wind up as friends. When Punky discovers the boy is parentless, she talks Henry into taking him to the Fenster Home for homeless children, where he becomes an enigma for caseworker Mike Fulton and Rita, the hall's administrator and to such residents as Lyle, Conan, Dash and Sugar.
