S01:E01 - A Paine by Any Other Name: Part 1
After winning the reality show Trackdown, five teens- Axel, Lioness, Shark, King, and Hawk- accept jobs as Lee Industries' experimental vehicle testers. When super-criminal Alex Paine breaks out of Lee Industries' triple maximum security prison and decides to wreak havoc on Landmark City, the Alpha Teens find themselves going above and beyond their job description to stop him.
S01:E02 - A Paine by Any Other Name: Part 2
The Alpha Teens start to feel smothered by the parental nagging of Mr. Lee and start to look for a new pad. Meanwhile Paine, with the assistance of his second-in-command Spydah, hatches a dam good evil plan to flood Landmark City. Axel reveals his history with Paine to the group as they try to stop Paine from opening the floodgates to destruction.
S01:E03 - Touch of Paine
Paine's back to bring the pain! Literally. After the explosion leaves him with unusual new superpowers, Paine wants revenge on Axel. With the assistance of the constantly bickering Cannonball Brothers, Paine targets the source of the Alpha Teens machine technology- the lonely Mr. Lee. With Lioness hurt and Axel guilt-ridden, can the teens stop these clowns before they bring this circus crashing down?
S01:E04 - Of the Flesh
Paine will stop at nothing to get his hands on Nutronium, a new anesthetic that can ease his suffering. Along with Spydah and his newest henchman Albert, they go toe to toe with the Alpha Teens in a battle that accidentally mutates Albert into the musclebound mutant, Flesh. Can the Alpha Teens derail this barbell brandishing beefcake before he and Paine make off with the Nutronium?
S01:E05 - Trapped
Tensions start to build when the designer of Lee Industries, the Architect, turns the high-rise into a high-risk death trap. Separated, the two groups have to navigate the labyrinthine halls to find the Architect and stop him. It's a race against time- and maintenance codes- for the Alpha Teens as they try to stop this disgruntled ex-employee.
S01:E06 - The Experiment
The team travels with Hawk to a remote island formerly used for military nuclear tests to accompany him on his big-screen debut in a science fiction monster movie. Though everything is calm and static to start, the production is halted by the combination of the director replacing Hawk with King, as well as an unexpected infestation of mutated animal hybrids. Upon being captured and delivered to an evil scientist's secret lair deep inside the island, King is subject to science experiments which ultimately result in him mutating just as extremely as the scientist's Rolodex of captured animals. The rest of the team must band together to secure King's safe release from the scientist and his hybrid monsters, all while Hawk is forced to continue with what is becoming an incredibly boring and time-consuming film shoot.
S01:E07 - In Too Deep
The Alpha Teens take a much needed vacation aboard Lee's private yacht, which he has designated for the kids' action and adventure during the day, all leading up to a black-tie party for adults at night, which the kids are also encouraged to attend. Though they are all collectively reluctant to attend such a formal event, only Shark takes the plunge, so to say, and heads for the ocean's depths to avoid mingling with the affluent elders. Amid his dive, he stumbles upon and is ultimately captured by Eel, an evil creature born amongst the foulest sea monsters, who uses sonar technology to both feed Shark to his carnivorous pets, as well as ruin Lee's party and yacht.
S01:E08 - Enter the Dragon
With his friends all going their separate ways for the holidays, Axel, with no family of his own to go home and celebrate alongside, experiences a series of perpetually escalating events. After mistaking an accidental collision for a threat and subsequently being confronted by a genuine ninja whose skills are comparable only to his own, he remarks at what a "weird day" he has found himself in the middle of. Axel's comrades offer their wholehearted support in the compromising weather, though he vehemently and repeatedly rejects their assistance. They entire crew ultimately finds themselves entangled in the same martial arts dilemma as Axel, despite his attempts to handle his equally adept opponent alone.
S01:E09 - The Final Frontier
Bogey, a rival of Hawk's, gets under Hawk's skin at an airshow. Later, Hawk and the other Alpha Teens are trained to fly Mr. Lee's Hypersonic Stratojet, an aircraft Paine has every intention on stealing. The group is quick to discover that Bogey's arrival is not in fact incidental, as he proves to have teamed up with Paine to enact a collective dish of revenge on the group for their recursive foiling of their unethical plans. An aerial battle unfolds during which Bogey's and Paine's personal vendettas go head to head with ATOM's natural drive to retain peace and catharsis in their oft-troubled city.
S01:E10 - House of Paine
Lee introduces the Alpha Teens to the somewhat insecure teenage genius, Garrett. In another scheme to ease his own inner pain, Paine sends Flesh and Spydah to kidnap Dr. Evans, an expert in sound wave research and Garrett's former professor at Landmark University.
S01:E11 - Stormy Weather
The Alpha teens' come to the rescue when children are trapped in a burning building. However, the media portrays Lioness as the hero, giving her all the credit. Meanwhile, Paine unleashes a huge hurricane on Landmark City with the Atmospheric Modifier, a device made by Dr. Nimbus, whose family Paine is holding hostage. The Alpha Teens must work together to outsmart Paine and save Landmark City from a devasating hurricane before it is too late.
S01:E12 - Natural Magnetism
On their way to the frosty Iron Mountain, the Alpha Teens are greeted by Dr. Magness, a doctor at a ski resort. After a weird rash of incidents involving the team's vehicles, including a car crash that injured Lioness's leg, she suspects that there is more to Dr. Magness than her teammates realize. Bizarre magnetic disruptions occur on the mountain, causing Lioness to believe Dr. Magness might be responsible.
S01:E13 - Double Image
As Paine plots to steal plutonium from Landmark City's nuclear power plant, Col. Richter of Landmark City's law enforcement accuses (with strong video evidence) that Axel stole an armored car filled with money. At the same time, Axel's father, Sebastian Manning, seems to be alive. The team realizes Paine uses holographic imaging to frame the Alpha Teens.
S01:E14 - Spydah, Spiders Everywhere
After Spydah is fired by Paine for failing to get a crucial flash drive that was protected by the Alpha Teens, he intends to prove himself to his former boss by stealing important equipment from Mr. Lee's. Meanwhile, King's poisonous frog, Clarence, is on the loose. Once the Alpha Teens realize what Spydah is looking for, they head for Fort McGuiness where the flash drive is saved.
S01:E15 - I, Paine
Paine steals cyborgs from one of Lee's factories. Having Spydah duplicate their schematics and create more, Paine now controls his own cyborg army. It's up to the Alpha Teens to track down and combat the cyborg army while also destroying their production. Meanwhile Axel tries to reclaim his tag master device stolen by Paine.
S01:E16 - Royal Rumble
King has his eyes set on winning the WWC World Title Belt under the guise as the wrestler Royal Rumble. Paine however, seeks the belt for his own dastardly schemes and hires the rhyming extortionist, Vinnie Rossi to stand in for an injured Flesh. During the WWC battle royal for the title, Vinnie's lovesickness for Lioness could cost him the match and much more.
S01:E17 - Dem Bonez
The team is assigned a mission that involves investigating a spooky ghost ship on Halloween night. Pressed against time to make it back to shore in time for the night's festivities, they split up aboard the ship in search of clues. One at a time, more than half the team gets hypnotized into becoming zombies. It is revealed that Bonez, a villain not dissimilar to the Grim Reaper, has been zomibfying trespassers who come to the Underworld, a sunken city forgotten by time beneath Landmark City. Faced against an enemy which now includes their own members, the embattled team must find a way to defeat Bonez while recusing their possessed friends unharmed.
S01:E18 - Omega Team
Embarrassed by yet another humbling defeat at the hands of teenagers, Paine holds auditions for a team of his own to combat the ATOM teens with equal force. As the team prepares for an extreme sports triathlon of life-threatening proportions, they quickly discover that Paine's evil seeds have been planted in the very same competition, all with the exclusive objective of getting rid of the Alpha Team once and for all. Each member of the aptly titled Omega Team cheats in their respective fields to both remove their adversaries from the competition and theoretically take them out of the justice game once and for all. Our heroes must band together to take out their first truly equal match, as self-doubt grows rampant and Paine's goons have struggled to get along, a sharp contrast to the effortless synthesis regularly displayed by ATOM.
S01:E19 - Daddy's Little Girl
Hawk sends the team out to party without him so he can prepare his submission for a Food Channel competition show. While out, their club experience is cut short by Paine's equally evil daughter, Magness, intruding to challenge the five Alpha Teens and defeat them in order to prove herself and her superior skills to her father. Though the teens escape unscathed, they return to their communal home to find Hawk has burnt his meal so significantly that the house is rendered uninhabitable until it can be cleaned from top to bottom. Now out of the confines of their comfort zone, they must face and ultimately stop Magness while they are disadvantaged without any home resource to occupy and strategize from.
S01:E20 - Breakout
When a corrupt cop falsely accuses the Alpha Teens of grand theft auto, they become fugitives of the law. Worse yet, Hawk and King are captured, arrested and sentenced to serve time in the same prison where some of the villains they busted were sent to.
S01:E21 - Black Out
Due to an abrupt meteorite blazing through the sky of Landmark City, the team and their plane are forced to make an emergency crash landing. They later discover this terrifying accident was only one effect of an EMP taking a hold of the entire city and shutting down the power grid. Realizing this presents an opportunity to wield the meteorite's power for his own selfish purposes, Paine manipulates the pulse to send the city into chaos, thus allowing him to commit unconditional crimes free of prosecution. Stuck at a crossroads and unable to outmatch Paine's mass control of the city's electricity, the team enlists the help of a local journalist with immeasurable knowledge of the meteorite who is intent on securing it as her breakthrough story. Together, they set off to secure the electromagnetic pulse and keep it our of the maniacal Paine's hands.
S01:E22 - The Big Sleep
Paine and his crew of crooked accomplices use a rare and periodically seen spider located deep in the swamps to makeshift a mass toxin capable of being sprayed over the entire city with little difficulty. To test its potency, Paine singles and out and knocks out Axel, blasting the toxin sample at him from close proximity and effectively leaving him in a trance-like fever. Using his unique set of martial arts skills, he is able to keep himself alive in his comatose state for twice as long as someone less adept would survive, and in the process spurts out pertinent information regarding his past with Paine, revealing just enough to provide any onlookers with adequate information on how to dismantle Paine's latest public threat.
S01:E23 - The Sword of Jo-Lan
The Teens go for an innocuous visit to the local museum, where they are unexpectedly ambushed by rogue ninjas. Also there is Dragon, a former ninja enemy of the team, who appears to be part of a conspiracy to steal the most powerful sword on the world, conveniently on display in the museum's gallery. With Lee, their financier and de facto guardian, out of town, the group borrows one of his jets to escape to Hong Kong in hopes of tracking down and returning the sword from the cloaked assailants. Along the way, they discover that Dragon has snuck to Hong Kong with similar intentions, and thus a new and surprising team is formed with the collective intention of keeping the world's most powerful weapon out of the wrong hands.
S01:E24 - Underworld
After inadvertently stumbling on Paine's underground base, the team discovers evidence for his new evil plan to flood their city with lava, forcing the teens to address the potential mass devastation before getting back to the Earth's surface. They discover that Paine has forced another one of the Team's former villains to cooperate in his plan by turning him into a giant concrete man, effectively making him the only living creature capable of withstanding the heat in the volcano and initiating the evil plan. Realizing that participating in Paine's evil plan will both free his mother from Paine's capture and enact revenge on Lioness for breaking his heart prior.
S01:E25 - Remote Control
Lioness' cousin Eliza comes to visit Landmark City for the weekend, just as Paine comes the closest he ever has to taking full control of the city. She lends a hand to the team, who are abnormally in over their heads, in trying to get to Paine, who has been controlling various elements of the city and his violent confrontations with the use of a frequency remote, capable of controlling any elemental value around him with just a thought and the push of a button. Though unable to keep up with Paine's variant and impulsive use of his incomparable device, the new crew of six sets off to take the remote from the enemy's hand in order to make the fight fair.
S01:E26 - Showdown
Visibly distracted and distraught by the ten-year anniversary of his father's death, Axel takes it upon himself to enact vengeance on his killer, even at the expense of his friendships and tools at his disposal. His fixation on revenge has clouded his judgment and even created a riff between the Team and the local law enforcement, who are becoming agitated by the Team's impulsive decision-making and collateral damage around town. This rift creates an even larger division between Axel and his teammates. Now, alone and without the chemistry he and his squad have built after so long, Axel must take out Paine, who has finally found the Team's secret hideout after months of searching, thanks to a secret tracking device.
