KO KA-LONG, TAI YEE-FEI and other SDU team members are following LUI CHEUK-FUNG and TAI TAK-KING’s instructions in a training session. CHEUK-FUNG even says he will help KA-LONG enroll for the promotion exam. Senior Superintendent KO YAT-TAI is attending an honors and awards presentation ceremony. He receives a message that tells him he will be running naked in front of people. YAT-TAI calls Superintendent LIP YU-HONG, who is also his buddy. YU-HONG points out KA-CHUN, YAT-TAI’s son, is security chief at the venue. The crooks have planted bombs and specifically ask YAT-TAI to tell his love stories in front of people. SDU receives order to provide reinforcement. After receiving his award, YAT-TAI is forced to tell a love story about himself before he can leave the stage. But the crooks still set off the bombs.

SDU officers and drug dealers engage each other in a gun fight at a pier. KA-CHUN leaves his team behind and chases after Coke as he catches sight of him escaping. YU-HONG accuses KA-CHUN of inappropriate conduct and assigns him to the back office. Kenny, a mystical person, goes to an underground casino to look for Coke. Kenny proposes a collaboration project. LIP SUET-YING, YU-HONG’s daughter, returns home after graduation. She wants to see KA-LONG, her so-called elder brother. Recently, undercover police officers have been caught out by gangsters and executed according to underworld rules. KA-CHUN contacts his undercover colleague as he wants to investigate the case of YAT-TAI being held hostage. The duo end up being pursued by assailants on a tram. During an SDU training session, CHEUK-FUNG makes YEE-FEI team leader. Her male colleagues are not happy.

SDU officers follow CHEUK-FUNG into an old factory on a rescue mission. There are explosions as they break the door and barge in. SDU officers finally manage to save WING-YIN, who is clinging to life. Kenny disguises himself as a doctor and goes into the ward to handle WING-YIN. KA-CHUN chases after Kenny and causes a scene on the street. Some car has hit pedestrians. KA-CHUN asks passer-by CHONG NGA-SHUEN to help the victims. YU-HONG and his subordinates analyze the crooks’ motives. KA-CHUN is allowed to have his gun back. CHEUK-FUNG rejoins SDU. He engages himself in relentless training to numb his senses. KA-LONG catches sight of mobile hawker stall of MAN-LA, his new neighborhood chum, being vandalized. He promptly comes forward and helps her sort out the mess.

YAT-TAI points his gun at CHI-YIU. He wants him to help catch the mastermind behind the scheme of weeding out undercover police. KA-CHUN and his subordinate Oppa wait for Coke to show up. But Coke escapes. CHI-YIU takes YAT-TAI to an industrial building. At some hidden location, Kenny uses a remote projector to talk to them. While KA-LONG was saving WING-YIN, he caught sight of a set of numbers. He uses this set of numbers to borrow a book from a library. He then finds a note which shows another set of numbers. SUET-YING tells KA-LONG those numbers are picture codes which the library uses for referencing old newspapers. KA-LONG goes to the library to find out more. He finds old stories about YAT-TAI.

YU-HONG finally catches up with Coke. He questions him about the mastermind behind recent incidents. But Coke loses his grip. He plunges down to the street and dies, causing OCBT officers to think YU-HONG has something to do with Coke’s death. On his way to pick up Coke’s postmortem report, KA-CHUN runs into NGA-SHUEN again. KA-CHUN realizes NGA-SHUEN is actually a coroner. While YU-HONG is looking for a parking space in a car park, he is pursued by a knife-wielding bike rider. YU-HONG is wounded. YAT-TAI tells YU-HONG to stop investigating undercover police officers’ deaths. While SDU team members are going through hostage rescue drills, YEE-FEI accidentally gets hurt. SDU team members go to the hospital to see YEE-FEI. Their boss TAK-KING unexpectedly shows up.

YU-HONG is handling a drug case that involves amethyst. With the help of his colleagues from Technology Crime Bureau, YU-HONG hacks into Kenny’s computer. KA-CHUN and his subordinates are cracking down on night spots operated by triads. Some triad boss summons Kenny, who is accused of provoking the police. CHEUK-FUNG still cannot get over WING-YIN’s incident. TAK-KING earnestly persuades CHEUK-FUNG to seek help from WAI-SHAN at the psychiatric clinic. Surprisingly, WAI-SHAN also diagnoses William as having post?traumatic stress disorder. Some man suddenly confesses to being responsible for the undercover police officers’ deaths and also Coke’s death. KA-CHUN reckons this self-confessed serial killer is just a scapegoat. He insists on catching the real culprit. YAT-TAI is not happy about KA-CHUN not caring about his career. Kenny suddenly shows up as KA-CHUN is enjoying his drink.

CHEUK-FUNG and KA-LONG and cannot begin operation because William has been taken hostage. They are getting anxious. KWOK-BUN calls YAT-TAI and tells him KA-CHUN’s life will be at risk if he does not join the rival camp. YAT-TAI does not know how to handle this dilemma. YU-HONG offers to embark on a rescue mission. It is half an hour before the deadline after which Kenny said he would kill the hostage. WAI-SHAN witnesses William being taken away. She just has to call CHEUK-FUNG, but her own tears overwhelm her. KA-CHUN falls into Kenny’s trap of being locked up in a car, which has been booby-trapped to set off heavy explosives, with an unconscious William. KWOK-BUN relays the live scenes to YAT-TAI, forcing him to make a decision. OCTB successfully identifies KA-CHUN and William’s location. SDU officers swing into action.

YAT-TAI suspects recent incidents have something to do with MAN-LA, who seemingly died in a big explosion. He even thinks when he went undercover, MAN-LA was somehow involved. Hong Kong police have received intelligence from overseas that terrorists and triad gang U384 have agreed on a deal that involves exchanging a box of intelligence in Hong Kong. CIA are asking Hong Kong police to offer assistance. YAT-TAI has decided to act as the commander of this operation. YU-HONG, KA-CHUN and their subordinates swing into action. Kenny and the police engage each other in a big gun fight on the street.YU-HONG successfully intercepts the box of intelligence. But he is ambushed by the terrorists. No one can confirm YU-HONG’s GPS location. KWOK-BUN calls YAT-TAI and accuses him of deliberately putting YU-HONG in a difficult situation.

YU-HONG cannot prove his innocence and decides to escape from the car park. He runs into to KA-LONG, who has been ordered to provide reinforcement, on his way out. KA-LONG believes him. The duo have become fugitives. YU-HONG is a murder suspect and wanted by the police. KA-LONG asks YU-HONG for proof that shows MAN-LA is his biological mother. YU-HONG again says no. YU-HONG wants to tell KA-CHUN his doubts. But KA-CHUN follows the rules and prepares to arrest YU-HONG. Kenny and a bunch of reckless guys barge in as YU-HONG is gathering evidence. KA-LONG decides to go out to divert his attention. At a shopping mall, OCTB and SDU officers and Kenny’s gang engage each other in a big fight. SDU officers are shot.

YU-HONG plots to catch Kenny. He questions him about U384 but gets nothing. KA-LONG calls KA-CHUN and tells him he has got Kenny’s phone which contains information about moles and U384. KA-LONG wants the police to pay him HK$10,000,000 for this phone. KA-CHUN takes the cash to a container park. YAT-TAI and KA-CHUN persuade KA-LONG to surrender. KA-LONG wants YAT-TAI to admit what he had done in 1989 and also MAN-LA is his mother. Meanwhile, Kenny and the crooks are looking for YU-HONG and KA-LONG. Suddenly, YU WAI-CHING and SUET-YING arrive in a taxi. They want to find YU-HONG, but Kenny unfortunately shows up instead.

YAT-TAI takes YU-HONG’s wife and daughter into protective custody in an attempt to find out YU-HONG’s whereabouts. YU-HONG decides to use the box of intelligence to launch a counter-attack against the terrorists. KA-CHUN asks CHONG NGA-SHUEN for help in some investigation. But he notices someone is watching him. YAT-TAI have a meeting with big shot villain KWOK-BUN. KWOK-BUN clearly tells YAT-TAI he will have to do something for him. YU-HONG and KA-CHUN are hiding in an industrial building. SDU officers have come to look for them. NGA-SHUEN finds out from William’s autopsy report the shrapnel’s metal alloy had come from a manufacturer approved by the US military. And CHI-YIU’s gun wound was the result of YAT-TAI firing his gun while facing straight ahead.

FOK WAI-WAN secretly helps YU-HONG and explains to KA-CHUN about YU-HONG being framed. YU-HONG wants to see YAT-TAI. He suggests using the box in exchange for the release of his wife and daughter. YU-HONG, his wife and daughter will then leave Hong Kong. Droves of terrorists have come to Hong Kong to go after the box. The police boss goes to the headquarters to look for YAT-TAI, who is no where to be found. The police boss furiously questions CHIT-SUM. The secretive terrorists suddenly open fire. Not fearing for his own life, YU-HONG rescues his wife and daughter from a car amid crossfire. Fortunately, KA-CHUN rushes to the scene in a car and takes them out of the danger zone. The box is left behind on the road amid the chaos. KA-LONG picks it up. KA-LONG and the terrorists then engage each other in a road chase.

CHIT-SUM lets KA-CHUN pack up his father’s belongings at the police station. CHIT-SUM also offers KA-CHUN to have a few days off to take a rest. After a lot of investigation efforts, nobody has any idea about that mysterious organization controlling YAT-TAI. KA-LONG gives CHEUK-FUNG his resignation letter. But CHEUK-FUNG refuses to take it. KA-LONG and KA-CHUN go to see YU-HONG, who is recuperating at a hospital. KA-CHUN apologizes to YU-HONG. YU-HONG tells him to get over his father’s incident and stop blaming himself. KA-CHUN meets with his superiors and explains he has absolutely nothing to do with YAT-TAI’s improper activities. YEE-FEI teases KA-LONG about finding out who is better at running and shooting. KA-LONG ends up being slightly better at both. But YEE-FEI uses her charm to make KA-LONG give in. KA-LONG offers to buy her dinner. YEE-FEI congratulates herself.

MAN-LA has prepared dessert. But helpless MAN-LA just has to wait as KA-LONG is not answering the phone. The SDU people have come up with an idea of using YEE-FEI to make a date with KA-LONG to uncover his tactics. However, they find out CHEUK-FUNG and WAI-SHAN are having a dinner date instead. KA-CHUN receives intelligence that a bunch of wealthy dudes returning from overseas are running some underground casino. He sneaks in to investigate. He even suspects these rich kids are indulging in a new kind of dope. MAN-LA delivers dessert to KA-LONG. On her way, she sees KA-LONG and YING-LAN buying groceries. Kenny is promoting a new drug, amethyst. Drug dealers tell Kenny loads of drugs are coming to Hong Kong from Thailand. Drug sales prospects are not looking good.

KA-CHUN goes alone to the underground casino again. He gets close to the heart of drug trade. At the critical moment, a mysterious girl, whom he met the last time, foils his attempt. The mysterious girl introduces herself as MAN-LOK, who tells KA-CHUN they can use each other. MAN-LA does whatever she can to get close to YING-LAN. She befriends her by going shopping with her. MAN-LA wants to find out how KA-LONG was brought up. KA-LONG and YEE-FEI have their first date and finally become lovers. OCTB are still investigating the drug case at the pier. They reckon conflict of interest in drug dealings could lead to gang warfare. Meanwhile, OCTB are informed a dead rich kid, who was a punter at the casino, has been found. KA-CHUN promptly tells MAN-LOK about this news.

SUET-YING shows KA-LONG her loving feelings. But KA-LONG says he only sees her as his little sister. YU-HONG meets CIA operative Cher again. She has brought along intelligence that indicates terrorists having money laundering connections are coming to Hong Kong. She even suspects MAN-LA is involved. KA-CHUN is determined to catch the culprit behind the amethyst case. He takes NGA-SHUEN out to dinner and asks her about the case. While KA-LONG and YEE-FEI are having a date, KA-LONG receives a call from YING-LAN asking him to bring YEE-FEI to see her. MAN-LA unexpectedly shows up at the dinner gathering. As it turns out, MAN-LA uses YING-LAN and some familial ritual as an excuse for seeing KA-LONG.

At a meeting, police officers and Cher reckon MAN-LA only wants to get close to KA-LONG and nobody else. KA-LONG faces a dilemma as he refuses to go undercover. KA-CHUN takes MAN-LOK back to her place. After a one-night fling, he steals information from her phone. WAI-WAN reminds KA-CHUN not to use ruthless methods in his investigations, otherwise he will easily lose his way. Bringing documents along with her, MAN-LA goes to a restaurant to see KA-LONG. She lets him sign the documents to become beneficiary of her insurance policy. KA-LONG suggests going somewhere to have fun as he wants to improve his relationship with his mother. KA-CHUN manages to get hold of some amethyst. He wants to ask NGA-SHUEN to help analyze the drug. But it is her day off.

KA-LONG tells YING-LAN MAN-LA once had an affair with YAT-TAI, making YING-LAN feel uneasy. SDU team members are worried about KA-LONG’s disappearance. YEE-FEI is particularly anxious. KWOK-BUN tells Kenny his involvement in the drug business enables him to handle some young bankers and manipulate the Hong Kong foreign exchange market. Kenny brutally exposes KA-CHUN and MAN-LOK’s intimate relationship. MAN-LOK is in fact Kenny’s woman. A powerful new force has suddenly emerged in the underworld as Luen Wan is making a comeback. MAN-LA wants KA-LONG to become a new generation gang boss. KA-LONG mingles with big shot gangsters.

CHIT-SUM wants KA-CHUN to crack down on drug gangs to teach them a lesson. YU-HONG is worried about the two brothers, KA-LONG and KA-CHUN, directly clashing in the operation. KA-LONG goes to see YU-HONG in private. KA-LONG reveals KWOK-BUN wants him to kill CHEUK-FUNG. KA-LONG tells YU-HONG to give CHEUK-FUNG a mysterious key ring. While CHEUK-FUNG and WAI-SHAN are having a date, CHEUK-FUNG brings out a ring and proposes. But he is ambushed by KWOK-BUN’s gang. KA-LONG even shoots CHEUK-FUNG in front of KWOK-BUN. KA-CHUN successfully shuts down an amethyst lab. KA-CHUN is praised for his achievement and earns himself a new nickname, New Police Star. KWOK-BUN clashes with KA-LONG as he wants to find out who is the snitch. MAN-LA interferes to calm the hostility.

YU-HONG angrily lectures KA-CHUN. The duo unhappily go their separate ways. MAN-LOK goes into hiding as KWOK-BUN does not trust her anymore. She hopes the assassins cannot find her. KA-CHUN’s concern for MAN-LOK has evolved into romantic feelings. The duo become lovers. KA-CHUN gains a promotion and becomes Chief Inspector. He is preparing to launch a major crackdown on criminal gangs. CHIT-SUM takes KA-CHUN to his new office, which turns out to be the same office once occupied by YAT-TAI. The two brothers run into each other again. KA-CHUN makes fun of KA-LONG and his impressive team of minions. KA-LONG makes sarcastic remarks about KA-CHUN’s endless appearances on TV news. YAT-TAI wants to see YU-HONG as he has intelligence about MAN-LA.

KWOK-BUN reckons CHEUK-FUNG is still alive because KA-LONG did not really want to kill him. MAN-LA is still defensive about KA-LONG. While KA-LONG and MAN-LA are on an outing, they unwittingly discover Kenny has found out MAN-LOK’s whereabouts and is plotting to catch her. Kenny barges into MAN-LOK’s place and catches her. KA-CHUN rushes to the scene. KWOK-BUN is about to fatally shoot KA-CHUN. KWOK-BUN deliberately asks KA-LONG and Kenny about how to handle KA-CHUN. KA-LONG knows Kenny is plotting to plant poison gas bombs at the police station. KA-LONG intentionally incites gang warfare. While KA-LONG is being escorted back to the police station by OCTB officers to assist investigation, he seizes the chance to secretly inform the police.

YU-HONG and OCTB are discussing the poison gas case. Leads provided by informants indicate KA-LONG is involved. KA-CHUN puts anonymous clips away. He knows KA-LONG has shot CHEUK-FUNG and suspects the incident has something to do with the poison gas case. KA-CHUN and SDU team members undergo training together. KA-CHUN seizes this chance to find out about CHEUK-FUNG getting hurt in an incident. KA-CHUN feels anxious and goes to the bar to have a drink. He even tells NGA-SHUEN his feelings. CHEUK-FUNG escapes death. KWOK-BUN is suspicious about KA-LONG. He tells Kenny to use KA-LONG’s minion’s life as a threat to take away KA-LONG’s computer that contains information proving he is an undercover cop. YU-HONG learns of the situation and decides to use it to his advantage.

KA-CHUN successfully arrests Kenny, but also unwittingly uncovers YU-HONG’s meticulous scheme. KA-CHUN questions YU-HONG. But YU-HONG denies he had asked KA-LONG to go undercover. YU-HONG shows up and interferes as KA-CHUN is interrogating Kenny, causing KA-CHUN to be very annoyed. KWOK-BUN thinks Kenny is in trouble as he has not heard any news from him. KWOK-BUN angrily questions KA-LONG as he also suspects KA-LONG has seen YU-HONG. CIA successfully decipher the box. Findings indicate international terrorist Red Wolf is planning to launch terrorist attacks in Hong Kong. KWOK-BUN finds out Kenny is in police custody and decides to kidnap YU-HONG’s loving wife WAI-CHING.

SDU and commended police officers embark on a rescue mission. But they fall into MAN-LA and KWOK-BUN’s trap and get seriously hurt. KA-LONG calls KA-CHUN and says he can use WAI-CHING in exchange for Kenny. YU-HONG insists on following the rules and refuses to exchange hostages. KA-CHUN asks the police boss and CHIT-SUM for their opinions. They both agree to save the hostages and tell YU-HONG to leave the command center. KA-CHUN takes Kenny to a location where exchange is to take place. YU-HONG refuses to listen to someone’s advice and insists on following. MAN-LA notices YU-HONG’s presence. She wants to tell nearby U384 people to lie in ambush for YU-HONG. During a gunfight, KA-LONG ruthlessly shoots WAI-CHING.

CIA have found out Red Wolf is the culprit behind a capital transfer scheme. Different “wolf gangs” are planning to transfer funds out of six cities. MAN-LA and KWOK-BUN are forced to help Red Wolf handle transfer of HK$1 billion. YAT-TAI is about to be sentenced. MAN-LA is plotting to seek revenge. She takes YING-LAN hostage in an attempt to make KA-CHUN show up. KA-CHUN decides to block the news and only works with his OCTB colleagues in the rescue operation. KA-LONG learns of the situation and promptly goes to rescue. He gets down on his knees and begs MAN-LA for mercy. MAN-LA keeps forcing bankers to help her transfer funds. She also takes KA-LONG to see the terrorists, who are actually armed with modern weaponry and ready to swing into action.

CHIT-SUM summons YU-HONG, CHEUK-FUNG and KA-CHUN to a meeting. YU-HONG finally uncovers U384’s nerve center. He is also certain MAN-LA and KWOK-BUN are their core members. KWOK-BUN and KA-LONG realize their situation is untenable. KWOK-BUN tells KA-LONG to go upstairs to find MAN-LA and help her escape. A gun fight breaks out between KWOK-BUN’s gang and the police. To save MAN-LA, KA-LONG reveals his identity and anxiously persuades her to surrender. But his mother points a gun at him. KWOK-BUN goes into hiding. He is determined to kill KA-LONG with his own hands. KA-LONG reveals his true self in front of CHEUK-FUNG and explains his options and ways of doing things. KA-LONG finally asks CHEUK-FUNG to deliver two letters to YEE-FEI.

KA-LONG goes with YU-HONG to see WAI-CHING. But WAI-CHING cannot forgive KA-LONG. KA-LONG persuades KWOK-BUN to surrender. However, KWOK-BUN reckons KA-LONG is a traitor in the family. He clearly tells him he will wreak further havoc if the police do not release MAN-LA. KA-CHUN has decided to find WAI-SHAN and undergo psychotherapy. YING-LAN gives KA-CHUN YAT-TAI’s handwritten letter containing YAT-TAI’s confession. KWOK-BUN gives the police an ultimatum, demanding immediate release of MAN-LA as he has planted poison gas bombs in a busy district. KA-LONG and KWOK-BUN engage each other in a breathless chase in the busy district. Poison gas bombs are about to go off. The two of them end up in a tunnel and start a big fight.

WAI-CHING has gone to England. She stays with her daughter SUET-YING and undergoes treatment by local physicians. KA-LONG is roaming the streets. He reminisces about those happy mother and son moments with MAN-LA. YU-HONG tells KA-LONG to go to the park to find YEE-FEI. KA-LONG and YEE-FEI realize they do care about each other anymore. When YEE-FEI is leaving, she suddenly loudly says she hopes KA-LONG rejoins SDU. Red Wolf’s base in Europe has been uncovered in a joint operation undertaken by CIA and other countries. Hong Kong police then learn of Red Wolf’s decision to take a big gamble. Red Wolf is plotting to launch an ultimate assault in Hong Kong. The police boss authorizes YU-HONG and CHEUK-FUNG to set up Special Team, code-named Ultimate Battle, under SDU.

KA-LONG, KA-CHUN and YING-LAN are having a meal. YING-LAN is not happy about KA-LONG going undercover. KA-CHUN interferes and calms the tension. KA-CHUN has a conversation with NGA-SHUEN by the seaside. He wants to clarify their sentimental relationship before the anti-terrorist operation. Hong Kong is hosting an international anti-terrorism conference. Special Team is to oversee defense deployment. YU-HONG assigns YEE-FEI, KA-LONG and KA-CHUN to three separate teams, each with their specific duties. Terrorists are causing chaos everywhere. The stock market is facing unprecedented challenge. YU-HONG, as the leader, and commended Hong Kong police officers have put in place three lines of defense. However, Red Wolf has breached the third line of defense. He sends out clips showing imminent terror attacks.

YU-HONG, MAN-LA and SDU officers eventually force Red Wolf into an impasse. Red Wolf uses his last account to transfer funds. He also implants a detonator into KWOK-BUN’s body. He resorts to taking heavy duty explosives for launching attacks in a busy district. Police officers have KWOK-BUN in their custody. Terrorists promptly launch an assault and shoot the police. KA-LONG and SDU officers rush to the scene. KWOK-BUN takes KA-LONG’s previous subordinate hostage. The situation is getting tense. Red Wolf has no other options and angrily resorts to going after MAN-LA. YU-HONG divides his team into two units and takes MAN-LA away. The chums run into Red Wolf’s minions on the way. After a gun fight, WAI-WAN and SDU officers are hurt. MAN-LA is also shot amid the chaos.
