Assassin's Creed is leaping onto Tubi soon
The Animus is warming up for a high-flying sci-fi action plunge through memory, bloodlines, and rebellion.
Remind MeSome movies arrive with their hoods already up. Assassin's Creed takes one of gaming's most recognizable worlds and builds a sci-fi action movie around memory, bloodlines, secret orders, and the very reasonable question of what your ancestors might teach you if technology let you meet them the hard way.
Michael Fassbender leads as Callum Lynch, a man pulled into the Animus, a machine that lets him access the memories of his ancestor Aguilar. What he finds there is not a history lesson. It is a crash course in blades, rooftops, and an ancient fight that refuses to stay ancient.
Assassin's Creed is coming soon to Tubi, which means now is the time to add it to your list before the leap of faith lands.
The Cast
Michael Fassbender
Fassbender plays Callum Lynch in the present and Aguilar in the past, giving the film its split pulse. He brings a coiled physicality to both sides, whether Callum is resisting control or Aguilar is moving across rooftops with lethal purpose.
Marion Cotillard
Cotillard plays Sofia Rikkin, the scientist guiding Callum through the Animus. She gives the story a cool, focused intensity, making Sofia more than a technician in a lab. Her questions about memory, power, and control keep the present-day stakes sharp.
Jeremy Irons
Irons plays Alan Rikkin, the polished face of Abstergo's larger mission. He brings the exact kind of calm authority that makes the organization feel bigger than one room, one experiment, or one fight. The danger is in how reasonable he sounds.
Brendan Gleeson
Gleeson plays Joseph Lynch, Callum's father, whose shadow hangs over the whole story. His presence adds grief and history to the action, turning the family legacy into something heavier than a bloodline and stranger than a simple inheritance.
“Step into the memory, come out with the blade.”
Sneak Peek
Why Watch It
This is built for anyone who likes their action with ancient conspiracies, sleek labs, and gravity being treated as more of a suggestion than a rule. The film goes all in on the Assassin's Creed idea: the past is alive, the present is being manipulated, and the body remembers what the mind has never seen.
The real kick is the contrast. One moment you are in a controlled facility where every movement is monitored, and the next you are thrown into sun-baked historical chaos with chases, blades, and bodies in motion. Justin Kurzel gives the action a heavy, physical feel, so the stunts land with weight.
If you are a fan of the games, this is a chance to revisit the hooded mythos from a different angle. If you are new to it, the hook is clean: a man inherits a war through memory and has to decide what to do with the skills that wake up inside him. Coming soon to Tubi.
