Premonition - Sandra Bullock
Apparently Sally Owens isn't Sandra Bullock's only character whose relationship with the supernatural gets complicated.
Bullock leads Premonition as Linda Hanson, a woman who learns that her husband has died in a car accident, only to wake up the next morning and find him alive. As the days begin arriving out of order, Linda has to piece together what she's experiencing and whether knowing what's coming means she has any power to change it. Bullock grounds the reality-bending premise in a woman desperately trying to understand what is happening to her family, giving all the supernatural mystery something deeply human to hold onto.

How to Talk to Girls at Parties - Nicole Kidman
Gillian Owens has always known how to make an entrance. Nicole Kidman's Queen Boadicea takes that philosophy somewhere considerably more punk.
Kidman dives headfirst into the gloriously strange world of How to Talk to Girls at Parties, playing a rebellious fashion figure in 1970s London as a teenage punk named Enn becomes fascinated with Zan, a girl who turns out to be significantly less ordinary than he expected. Elle Fanning and Alex Sharp carry the unusual romance while Kidman gets to be eccentric, theatrical, and wonderfully difficult to ignore whenever she enters the frame.

Wish Upon - Joey King
Somehow joining the Owens family wasn't Joey King's first warning about what happens when magic starts granting requests.
In Wish Upon, King plays Clare Shannon, a teenager who discovers a mysterious music box capable of granting seven wishes. Suddenly the things she wants actually seem within reach, until each wish begins carrying consequences that make the fine print increasingly impossible to ignore. King lets Clare's excitement gradually become something more desperate as the fantasy of finally getting what she wants starts demanding far more than she bargained for.
Now that King has joined Practical Magic 2 as Kylie Owens, revisiting one of her earlier supernatural roles feels almost too perfect. Rule of thumb: mysterious magical objects rarely arrive with a reasonable return policy.
The Owners - Maisie Williams
Maisie Williams is leaving Owens family magic behind and walking straight into a different kind of nightmare.
A supposedly easy robbery goes spectacularly off-plan in The Owners, where Williams plays Mary, a young woman caught in a home invasion that begins shifting in increasingly disturbing directions. Williams gives Mary a toughness that doesn't erase her fear, letting the character adapt as the situation keeps changing around her rather than turning her into an untouchable horror heroine.
After seeing Williams enter the Owens family as Antonia in Practical Magic 2, this is a much darker showcase of what she can do with tension. The house may not have witches, but we'd still recommend respecting the homeowners.
Revolt - Lee Pace
Lee Pace versus an alien invasion. Sometimes that's all the pitch needs.
Revolt drops Pace into a war-torn landscape as an American soldier who wakes up with no memory of who he is while Earth is under attack by extraterrestrial machines. Teaming up with a French aid worker played by Bérénice Marlohe, he has to survive long enough to uncover his past while humanity's future is looking increasingly questionable.
Pace brings the physicality and intensity needed to carry the sci-fi action while keeping the mystery around his character alive underneath it. It's about as far from the Owens family kitchen as this watchlist gets and that's exactly why it's a fun detour.
The Birdcage - Dianne Wiest
Aunt Jet has temporarily left the Owens house. She's arrived at a dinner party where absolutely nothing is going according to plan.
Dianne Wiest joins Robin Williams, Nathan Lane, Gene Hackman, and Hank Azaria in The Birdcage, playing Louise Keeley, the wife of a conservative senator whose daughter's engagement brings two very different families together. Wiest has a wonderful ability to make even a reaction shot land, finding humor in Louise's attempts to navigate an evening that becomes more gloriously complicated by the minute.
After returning as Jet in Practical Magic 2, seeing Wiest shift from witchy aunt to increasingly bewildered dinner guest is exactly the kind of range a post-Owens watchlist deserves.
Six Degrees of Separation - Stockard Channing
Aunt Frances knows a thing or two about complicated households. Stockard Channing's Ouisa Kittredge is about to have hers completely disrupted.
Channing earned an Academy Award nomination for Six Degrees of Separation, playing a wealthy New Yorker whose life changes after she and her husband welcome a charismatic young stranger into their home. What initially seems like an act of generosity becomes something far more complicated, forcing Ouisa to reconsider the comfortable world she thought she understood.
Channing gives the film its emotional center, letting Ouisa's fascination, discomfort, and eventual self-reflection build without rushing any of them. Frances Owens may have magic. Ouisa has one extremely memorable houseguest.
Last Swim - Solly McLeod

Set over one summer day in London, Last Swim follows ambitious teenager Ziba as she celebrates her A-Level results with her friends while privately carrying news that could change the future she's spent years planning. McLeod plays Shea, part of the group accompanying her through a day that begins as a celebration and gradually takes on much more emotional weight.
After witches, wishes, aliens, home invasions, and chaotic dinner parties, Last Swim gives McLeod room to show a more grounded side, and gives Practical Magic 2 viewers a chance to discover one of his smaller films while they're getting to know the newest additions to the cast.
