Resident Evil: Extinction is bringing desert chaos to Tubi

Alice heads into the wasteland for a bloodier, dustier chapter of the undead franchise.

Remind Me

By the third Resident Evil movie, the franchise had fully accepted what it was built to do: throw Milla Jovovich into a nightmare, crank up the sci-fi horror, and make survival look dangerously stylish. Resident Evil: Extinction takes that energy out of the labs and cities and drops it into the desert, where the apocalypse has room to stretch its legs.

This is Alice in full mythic mode, moving through a sun-blasted world where zombies, Umbrella, and the remains of humanity are all fighting for space. The result is lean, mean, and sand-covered, with the kind of action-horror attitude that knows exactly what fans came for.

Resident Evil: Extinction arrives on Tubi soon. If your watchlist needs mutants, convoy tension, corporate evil, and one of the franchise’s sharpest visual turns, start making room.

The Cast

Milla Jovovich

Jovovich returns as Alice with the calm focus of someone who has already survived the impossible and is not impressed by the end of the world. In this chapter, she carries the action with a mix of precision, distance, and barely contained power.

Ali Larter

Larter brings Claire Redfield into the film as a leader built for a world with no soft options left. She gives the survivor convoy its spine, grounding the desert chaos in loyalty, strategy, and the need to keep people moving.

Oded Fehr

Fehr’s Carlos Olivera adds weariness and heart to the fight. He knows what Umbrella can do, he knows what survival costs, and he brings a lived-in toughness that makes every choice feel heavier than another round of ammo.

Iain Glen

Glen plays Dr. Isaacs with the polished menace of a man who treats disaster like research material. His presence keeps the corporate horror of the series alive, reminding us that the monsters are not the only threat waiting in the sun.

“The world ended. Alice did not.”

Why Watch It

Resident Evil: Extinction is for anyone who likes their zombie movies with a heavy dose of sci-fi spectacle. Director Russell Mulcahy gives this chapter a scorched, almost western feel, swapping tight corridors for empty highways, dead cities, and a world that looks like it has been left out in the sun too long.

What makes it worth anticipating is how confidently it expands the series without losing the core pleasure: Alice versus everything. The action is bigger, the horror is nastier, and the desert setting gives the movie a fresh flavor inside the Resident Evil universe.

Add this one to your list if you want R-rated action-horror with creature chaos, Umbrella conspiracies, and Milla Jovovich walking into the apocalypse like she has unfinished business. Coming soon to Tubi.
