Neilsen plays FBI agent Abby Durrell as the person trying to keep procedure intact while the case keeps slipping into older, rougher rules. She gives the film a grounded counterweight to the private war unfolding between teacher and former student.

Why Watch It
The hook here is clean and sharp: a teacher forced to hunt the student who learned too well. Friedkin keeps the tension close to the ground, with forests, knives, breath, mud, and silence doing a lot of the work. This is action without polish for polish’s sake.
It is also a strong pick for anyone who likes thrillers where the conflict feels personal before it gets loud. Jones and Del Toro make the central pursuit feel less like a case and more like unfinished business with a pulse.
