The Hustle is bringing the con to Tubi
Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson team up for a glossy scam comedy with designer outfits, fake identities, and one very rich target.
Remind MeSome comedies arrive with a tuxedo, a fake accent, and a plan that is absolutely going to get out of hand. The Hustle has all three. Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson play con artists from very different schools of scam, one polished and icy, the other chaotic and allergic to subtlety.
The setup is simple in the best way: two operators, one rich mark, and a whole lot of ego on the French Riviera. The pleasure is in watching their styles collide, then click, then threaten to blow the whole job sideways.
The Hustle is coming soon to Tubi, which means now is the time to pencil it in if you like your crime comedies glossy, fast, and a little too pleased with themselves.
The Cast
Anne Hathaway
Hathaway plays Josephine Chesterfield, a polished operator who treats deception like a luxury service. Every look, accent, and icy smile is part of the performance, and the fun comes from seeing how tightly she keeps control when chaos walks through the door.
Rebel Wilson
Wilson plays Penny Rust, the loud, loose-cannon counterpoint to Josephine’s elegance. Penny does not glide into a room so much as detonate inside it, turning every setup into a physical comedy trap with a surprisingly sharp survival instinct underneath.
Alex Sharp
Sharp plays Thomas Westerburg, the tech billionaire who becomes the prize at the center of the game. He brings a gentle, off-kilter innocence to the role, which makes the cons around him feel even more outrageous.
Timothy Simons
Simons plays Jeremy, whose presence adds an extra dose of awkward social friction to the Riviera scheming. He has the kind of comic timing that makes even a side conversation feel like it could knock the plan slightly off course.
“Trust me, darling. The lie is always better in couture.”
Sneak Peek
Why Watch It
The Hustle is for anyone who enjoys the elegant nonsense of a fancy con, especially when the people running it are half the problem. Hathaway and Wilson make a clean comic mismatch: one uses poise as a weapon, the other uses nerve, volume, and whatever object happens to be nearby.
What makes it worth putting on your list early is the tone. This is a crime comedy with bright clothes, expensive rooms, and jokes that keep poking at class, confidence, and who gets to be underestimated. It is breezy by design, with enough trickery to keep the game moving and enough personality to make the mess part of the appeal.
If you are in the mood for scammers, Riviera sun, and a little PG-13 mischief, this is the kind of title that fits right into a low-stakes movie night. The con is arriving on Tubi soon.
