The Sitter is bringing chaos to Tubi

Jonah Hill leads an R-rated babysitting disaster with crime, kids, and zero quiet corners.

Remind Me

Some comedies are built around a simple lie: this will be an easy night. The Sitter takes that lie, hands it to Jonah Hill, adds three kids, a crush, some deeply unwise errands, and lets the whole thing sprint into R-rated mayhem.

Hill stars as Noah, a young slacker who gets pulled into babysitting his neighbor’s kids for the evening. Naturally, the night does not stay in the living room. We follow him through one escalating mistake after another, where every attempted fix seems to create a larger problem with better comic timing.

Directed by David Gordon Green, The Sitter arrives on Tubi soon. If your watchlist has room for a reckless, fast-moving comedy with a very high tolerance for poor decisions, start making space.

The Cast

Jonah Hill

Hill plays Noah Griffith, the sitter in question, with the exact energy of someone who agreed to one favor and immediately lost control of the room. He keeps the movie moving with panic, sarcasm, and a weirdly sincere sense of responsibility under all the noise.

Ari Graynor

Graynor plays Marisa, the person Noah is trying very hard to impress while everything around him keeps getting messier. She gives the night its romantic pressure, which makes every choice Noah makes feel even more wildly ill-advised.

JB Smoove

JB Smoove brings a sharp, fast-talking charge to the movie, the kind of presence that makes every scene feel like it might turn left without warning. He fits perfectly into the film’s night-out-of-control rhythm.

Sam Rockwell

Rockwell plays Karl, a drug dealer with theatrical menace and strange charm. He makes the movie’s criminal side feel unpredictable without draining the comedy out of it, which is exactly the balance this kind of chaos needs.

“I agreed to babysit, not become the adult in a crime spree.”

Why Watch It

The hook here is beautifully simple: one guy who is not ready for responsibility gets handed responsibility at the worst possible time. The Sitter knows exactly what kind of comedy it is, loud, loose, and allergic to calm. It turns a babysitting gig into a pressure cooker where every errand becomes a new problem.

This is the one to queue up if you like comedies with momentum, sharp side characters, and a main character who keeps making choices you can see going wrong three seconds before he does. Hill’s performance gives the whole thing its engine, while Rockwell, Graynor, and Smoove keep the night feeling unpredictable.

It is coming soon to Tubi, and it belongs on the list for anyone who wants their comedy a little reckless, a little sweet, and very much not parent-approved.
