Kimi Antonelli Takes the Checkered Flag at the 2026 F1 Austin Grand Prix
Austin's results are in, but there's still plenty of Formula 1 to unpack, revisit, and watch on Tubi.
Fifty-six laps, one checkered flag, and a whole lot of post-race opinions. Austin's Grand Prix weekend has reached its final verdict. Well, the official verdict, anyway. F1 fans are still entitled to theirs.
Kimi Antonelli claimed victory at the FORMULA 1® MSC CRUISES UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX™ 2026 on Sunday, October 25, putting Mercedes on top at Circuit of The Americas. Ferrari and Red Bull completed the podium, rounding out the top three at one of the calendar's most recognizable American circuits.
The podium tells us who came out on top, but there's a whole lot more to Formula 1 than the finishing order. Behind every driver is an entire team, decades of racing history, and enough paddock lore to make even the most dedicated fan discover something new. Tubi has a few ways to explore that world once the helmets come off and the champagne stops spraying.
Who Won the 2026 F1 United States Grand Prix?
Austin has its answer, and the podium is ready for its close-up.
Race: FORMULA 1® MSC CRUISES UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX™ 2026
Date: Sunday, October 25, 2026
Winner: Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes)
Second Place: Charles LeClerc (Ferrari)
Third Place: Max Verstappen (Red Bull)
Circuit of The Americas isn't exactly a leisurely Sunday drive. Its 56 laps combine demanding corners, fast changes of direction, and a Turn 1 approach that practically dares drivers to test their braking confidence. One poorly judged corner can undo an awful lot of preparation, which makes the precision required to complete a Grand Prix all the more impressive.
Of course, the person holding the trophy isn't the only one responsible for getting the car across the finish line. Engineers, strategists, mechanics, and pit crews spend race weekend making decisions that can affect what happens on track. Drivers get the champagne, but plenty of people behind the garage doors have earned a very long nap.
We actually took the liberty of assembling our own highly questionable racing team in our article The F1 Pit Crew Draft: 7 Movie Characters Getting the Call for Austin. Real pit crews have precision, experience, and highly specialized training. Our fictional recruits? Well, let's just say HR might have a few questions.
The Fast Lane's Austin Lap Is Complete
You know the friend who watches a race and somehow has a question about absolutely everything? Imagine pairing them with someone who actually knows the answers. That's part of what makes The Fast Lane such a fun concept.
Following its Miami debut, The Fast Lane LIVE: Austin returned to Tubi on October 25 with a creator-led alternative to the traditional Formula 1® race broadcast. Hosted by Michelle Khare and Justin Bell, the experience combined onboard footage, driver data, expert commentary, and real-time reactions. Khare's background in taking on ambitious challenges and Bell's firsthand racing experience make an entertaining combination. One approaches the sport with an adventurer's curiosity, while the other understands what it's like to make split-second decisions behind the wheel. It's a pairing that gives both the seasoned motorsport obsessive and the friend who just learned what VSC means a place in the conversation.
The Fast Lane is Tubi's creator-led race-day experience, not the complete traditional Formula 1® race broadcast, which is available through Apple TV.
Your F1 Obsession Has More Laps Left on Tubi
There's a particular stage of F1 fandom where knowing the drivers' names is no longer enough. Before you know it, you're learning about decades-old rivalries, legendary champions, and why certain names still make racing fans sit up a little straighter. Congratulations. You've entered the lore phase.
1 revisits Formula 1's dangerous golden era through stories involving legends like Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher, Niki Lauda, and Jackie Stewart, while Legends of Speed explores the rivalries and personalities that helped shape motorsport history. One puts racing's extraordinary risks into perspective; the other gives fans more reasons to appreciate the names that became synonymous with speed.
The rabbit hole doesn't stop there. Tubi's Sports collection offers more ways to explore the competition, while our Formula 1® lore guide digs into the famous rivalries, unforgettable personalities, and stories that make knowing the grid only the beginning of being an F1 fan.
Austin's Checkered Flag Isn't the End of the Road
Austin may have settled its podium, but the Formula 1 calendar still has more racing ahead.
The next stop is the Mexico City Grand Prix on November 1, followed by São Paulo on November 8. The championship then heads back to the United States for the Las Vegas Grand Prix on November 21, where The Fast Lane is scheduled to return to Tubi for another creator-led race-day experience.
Whether you've been following the championship all season or Austin was your introduction to the paddock, there's still more racing ahead. More circuits to learn, more drivers to root for, and more opportunities to discover that supporting an F1 team requires a surprising amount of emotional stamina.
This title is available on Tubi until further notice.
