It all started with that goddamned painting. At least that what Ben tells the investigating officer when asked how the two families ended up at the police station. The painting in question is a ghastly portrait of the Bellows family, lovingly rendered as a gift from Tara and last seen wrapped around Bens neck. Flashing back film noir style, we learn of an ill-fated scheme hatched by Ben and Judith to rid themselves of the painting via an elaborate fake break-in.
