HAU has completed the initial course of chemotherapy and is sent back home for recuperation. The CHEUKS have come to pay HAU a visit, during which MEI secretly urges LAI to move back with her. MEI points out that HAU has been suffering from a serious disease, which is believed to be a bad omen for the rest of the family and is very likely to constitute a threat to the health of LAI’s baby.
