This Discovery Channel production interrogates myths that have long inhabited popular culture. The Island of Juan Fernandez was first made famous by Alexander Selkirk, who was marooned on the island for four years and four days. His experience led Daniel Defoe to write Robinson Crusoe, only one of the many tales and legends to have arisen from this mysterious land of castaways.
