The Simple Life

After spending time with nine different families, Paris is exhausted and decides to find a way to get off work. She calls a company that provides celebrity impersonators and auditions several girls (one of whom turns out to be a boy) and chooses one to take her place. Natalie, the impersonator, is given a makeover and coached on all things Paris. Paris gives her some helpful hints, such as never passing a mirror without looking in it and if at a loss for words, to simply say “that’s hot.” The last thing she reminds Natalie before sending her off, is to remember that Nicole is the enemy. Natalie arrives at Ben and Rita Siegel’s home and convinces them that she is the real Paris Hilton. Ben, 90, and Rita, 89, have been married for 64 years and hope to impart some of their marital wisdom to Paris and Nicole. Just as Rita is showing Natalie her exercise regimen, Nicole shows up at the door. Since Paris and Nicole are no longer friends, they have been visiting families on separate days but Paris got the scheduling wrong today! Nicole immediately recognizes Natalie as an imposter but plays it off in front of the Siegels and speaks to Natalie in private. After Natalie explains what’s going on, Nicole tells her she will have to reveal the truth to the Siegels. Natalie pleads with her and Nicole agrees not to tell if she does exactly what she says. Nicole hatches a plan to get back at Paris once for all. She tells Natalie to hold a press conference as Paris Hilton and confess that she is pregnant with Mark Anthony’s (Jennifer Lopez’s husband) baby. Nicole alerts the media, calling TV Week Australia. She predicts the foreign press will be more likely to believe the story. Tired of waiting, Ben enters the bedroom where Nicole and Natalie are talking and attempts to get the two to reconcile, as he still thinks Natalie is Paris. Natalie and Nicole are enjoying their visit with the Siegels when the Australian reporter arrives. Back at Paris’ house, her relaxing day off is interrupted by a call from her publicist regarding the supposed interview. Paris instantly knows that Nicole is trying to humiliate her and rushes out the door, prepared for a showdown. She arrives at the Siegel home just as the interview is ending and confronts Nicole. Rita is completely confused. She doesn’t even know which girl is the real Paris, and isn’t happy to learn that she and Ben have been duped. Paris isn’t happy either and asks Nicole how she could do such a thing. She tells Nicole that this feud has to stop and that they need to talk, to which Nicole defiantly replies, “So talk.” But the talk will have to wait until next season!
