Battle Abbey, a site famous for the battle of Hastings has become famous for something quite different – the ghost of a monk. Two separate groups of witnesses tell of their sightings of the monk, their accounts are very similar. As monks have not lived at Battle Abbey for hundreds of years, they are left grappling with the idea that they have indeed witnessed an apparition of the past.
