Her father left when she was four and her mother emigrated to the USA when she was sixteen. Sandra is a survivor and through hard work built her own success. Sandra has become an icon for the Honduran people as she incorporates hope and trust. As a personality, Sandra features in magazines and TV-shows, however, she stays true to her roots: has a lot of old friends, goes weekly to the local church community and has founded a charity organization for poor children in her hometown.
