After returning home from the battle in Costa Negra, Holowachuk feels the constant need for the adrenalin rush of danger. He attends the rodeo with Sgt. James and takes the challenge to stay on a Brahma bull for eight seconds. Unfortunately, after a 1.8 second ride, the lieutenant is thrown. Next Holowachuk decides to try bungee jumping – which is jumping from a bridge after being secured with a bungee cord. The Major tries talking sense into the young lieutenant before he does something rash. However, Holowachuk explains that after being close to death in Costa Negra, he does not want to miss out on life.
