Paramedic Tom Wheeler (guest star Gary Crosby) of Station 110, constantly makes the news with simple rescues thanks to a newsman’s help, and paramedic John Gage (Randolph Mantooth) of Station 51 resents the undue attention. Dr. Kelly Brackett (Robert Fuller) clashes with tycoon J.P. Demont (guest star Gene Raymond) over a diagnosis. Dr. Early and Nurse McCall (Bobby Troup and Julie London) come to Brackett’s defense. Gage and partner Roy DeSoto (Kevin Tighe) rescue a five year-old from a storm drain, with unexpected results.
